“The best person to leave your dog with! I can’t say enough good things about Debby and how great she has been at looking after my puppy George. He adores her and loves going to doggy day care with her. I know when I drop him off I don’t have to worry and can set off for work rest assured George is going to have an amazing day and be well looked after. After lockdown I was called back into work with short notice and I tried leaving George on his own for a few days for short periods and when seeing how distressed he was I searched for a doggy day care online. After seeing Debby’s reviews I sent an online enquiry and she called me within a few minutes, offered me to pop over there and then to see her house and meet her and now George goes to her five days a week and I wouldn’t want him anywhere else. She has a great set-up in her home and garden where everything is secure and I feel like it’s another home for George where he is shown love and affections as well as being able to socialise with other dogs. He gets lots of exercise, playtime and food and I get to pick him up at the end of each day super happy and pretty tired which is perfect for me after a long day in work. Debby is always accommodating and I know she will always make decisions based on what is best for all the dogs to make sure they are happy and safe. I know there are larger set ups for doggy day-care but what I love about Debby’s house is it’s George’s second home and he will only ever be around other dogs that have been vetted by Debby to ensure they can play safely. Debby sends regular updates throughout the day of George having lots of fun and he is so desperate to get to hers in the morning he barely eats breakfast! I really couldn’t recommend a better person to look after your dog! Thank you Debby!”

“This store has recently gone under new ownership. The previous owners were alright but some of the staff working the tills weren't the friendliest. Now under the new ownership, I personally have noticed the man who is behind the counter is really friendly and nice and chats to you sometimes. He clearly cares about this store as I have seen him cleaning the exterior and interior of this store during my visits and the previous owners I never saw them doing this. The store has been upgraded quite a bit with more variety of items to choose from and the whole back section is now a fridge unit with tons of drinks and dairy products to choose from. Currently I think the store is heading in a better direction to what it used to be like under the previous owners and I hope the new owner stays and keeps up the good work as this little shop is a nice place to go to for majority of the items you would need for a small shop before getting a big shop in. Currently it really adds to this side of Handforth making it a nice alternative to walking into town to go to the little Tesco there or the spar for your small shop. Would definitely recommend this place and they also sell some items you probably wouldn't find elsewhere like I've seen Takis crisps which are from America. Overall a really nice little shop.”

“Visiting the store today to break our journey my elderly Nana misplaced her handbag. She was very panicked about the thought of having lost it and everything inside. We asked the staff if they had seen it or if it had been handed in and this lovely member of the store staff, Dawn I believe her name was, quickly ran around asking not only her colleagues but also staff members from other venders if they had had the bag handed in. She found the handbag and incredibly kindly gifted my Nana some flowers for all the stress she had experienced; she was delighted and so relieved. Thank you to Dawn you have made our day and your kindness won’t be forgotten !”

“I had a gas card emergency and the chaps in the shop couldn't do more to help me, they were really helpful and kind considering I'd been to 2 other shops for replacement gas card and they were useless but the chaps here at Hayes lane fabulous saved my but from frost bite... Thank you”

They are really lovely and you can have a nice convosation with them. Good customer service if you need help and a wide variety of products. Weekly deals.”

“Clean, bright, well laid out. Pretty full shelves with some gaps. Staff behind screens at tills, helpful & friendly. Not too busy. Being on the main high street makes it handy for quick lunchtime or even after work shop. Had everything I went in for and more.”

“A friendly petrol station with great coffee and great staff that go out of their way to ensure you have an pleasant and efficient visit. Health and safety is at a high and impressive standard, reasons for why your doors need to closed and your children should be safely in your vehicle and away from the pumps will be politely explained if you ask. :)”

“Small car park and shopping Isles sometimes a bit of a squeeze. However it is handy when you need something. If you are local it's not a long walk to the store and you can easily find what or close to what your looking for.”

When deciding where to have my 30th birthday party a few people mentioned that Fig&Fennel do private events in the evening - wow wow wow! Lee was great!
