The New Oxford
● Open“Only my second visit which seems daft as this is a cracking pub and a mecca for real ale drinkers. It is only a few minutes walk over the Irwell into Salford. The beer selection did not disappoint. I had a lovely pint of Wigan Brewhouse Soul Train. Really friendly pub on a lovely little square.”

The Blues Kitchen
● Open“We decided to take a chance & come here for a bite to eat before we were going to the Theatre. We were tempted in by their 50% off food during January. Best decision of the night, we will definitely be going back here. It is a big place and when we got there at 5pm, there were plenty of tables. 2 hours later, it was busy. All the staff are amazing, especially Thomas & Monica. We had the ribs, Beef brisket sandwich and the Big burger. I also had one of the cocktails too. The service is fantastic, friendly & quick. The food and drink was delicious. As we were celebrating a special occasion, Thomas, Monica and the others made sure that it was extra special and a night to remember. I was bowled over by their kindness. It is a place were I will definitely go for food when I'm in town again. I have a feeling that it is also going to be a favourite for my 22 year old son, girlfriend & friends to go for drinks too as it is especially appealing to their age group too.”
