“Not been in this public house for a long time, due to moving out of manchester, but last time I was in I was with a friend and we had a brilliant day/night I would definitely recommend this public house and hopefully I will return one day to see my friend, the prices were very reasonably priced the atmosphere was so nice and the people were so chatty and made you feel so welcome I had a good laugh with some customers who my friend introduced me to… great pub!”

“Having lost our way due to lack of continual Diversion signs, we called here just for a desperate comfort break. Lady behind the bar Lisa, gave me key to loo and even came to make sure I was OK. It was beautiful and clean and both staff and customers were very kind and helpful. Lisa even rang her partner to get best directions for us to follow to get us further towards our destination. “My wife and I took our girls to celebrate booking a holiday in the U.S. The food was great. "Nicely American" for want of a better phrase. Tasty and reasonable price. The place was very busy (and so quite noisy, hence only 4 out of 5 for the atmosphere). But the team were on top of it with not long to wait for food. Great job. Our 'server', Savannah, was brilliant. So friendly, helpful and polite. Very attentive without smothering us. I noticed every time she passed our table she had a quick look to see if drinks needed refreshing, where we were at with food, etc. She (like the rest of the staff) were working really hard. Really enjoyed it and great food with great service made me want to go back again soon. Thanks!”

“Lively pub. Can't remember what beers they sell, we were kinda the worse for wear. DJ was playing some great music so we danced for the last hour. We're in our 60's so not danced like that for years. Excellent night at the Mare and Foal. Thank you.”

“Kira is an absolute delight. We were greeted by incredibly attentive staff who looked after us from start to finish, special mention to the Mixologist /Bartender who is going to be a fantastically dangerous addition to Bollington! The food is wonderful, the perfect balance of complex and exciting dishes to really stretch your palette and some recognisable favourites. All the food is impeccably cooked, nothing we ordered had been sat there waiting it was all fresh and cooked to order which is no mean feat in a busy restaurant. Some of the dishes are wonderfully spicy, a real treat for anyone who loves authentic heat in their Indian food, not overpowering at all and lots of milder options available. We loved the fusion between East & West in the menu and we also loved the introduction to more regional textures and flavours that you really don't get in British/Asian restaurants. I highly recommend the deserts for a taste of Indian cuisine that you wont have tried before. A brilliant evening both my children loved as much as the adults. Thanks for having us!”
