“Me and my family went here for a birthday tea off of a shining recommendation. Could not recommend more, the food was amazing, best jalfrezi I’ve ever had. The mixed starter was gorgeous. Could not have asked for a better server, Jax treated everyone single of us like royalty. Every thing was evenly priced and amazing portion sizes. Everything we needed was met instantly. Can not wait to go back, our new place! Could not reccomend this place more best Indian going!”

Quality of the meet was so great that it melted in my mouth. So fresh and thin cut. They couldn’t do more. Defiantly my fave take away place so far. Ps. “Order a take-out as its close to mine . Food piping hot even when I've walked 10 mins back to my place. Love the chicken tikka Korma there , one of the best Indian kormas I've had . Had a takeout a few times and always lovely food. Service with a smile , friendly definitely will be regular now .”

“We had our celebratory wedding meal here last summer and could not thank Manish and the team enough for there fantastic hospitality and flexibility. They were kind enough to open the restaurant just for us and our guests for the afternoon. We had thalis and Manish was happy to tailor the menu to meet all our guests dietary requirements. “Was swiftly seated and payment was taken at the start, at £20 a head it was well priced for what you could get. lovely and vast selection of dishes.. enjoyed the cooked on the spot calamari and beef steak both seasoned which was pleasant. everything was tasty apart from the roast chicken, would go again.”

“First time at Akbar's today and I was very impressed! The food is very reasonably priced and the portion sizes cannot be grumbled at. Also, the giant "family naan" is a must have and definitely worth it - very tasty as well. The "Big un" challenge is very tasty and you get a lot of food for just under £15, definitely worth it! The food was very tasty and enjoyable, service was also quick and staff were friendly and helpful. Menu was quite extensive as well and has lots of options, vegans go elsewhere because none of your fake plant meat stuff is served here. Would definitely return. One bad thing I'd say is the size of the main eating area, it does seem to be rather cramped and the tables aren't that big either, because it's cramped there's basically people walking past your table the entire time, not the end of the world but when you're sat near a family of loud kids that decide to run around and knock into your table it does get annoying!”
