One thing to consider, the place closes at 9PM so make sure to get your order in before then if you are craving Greek food and don't leave it late. There is no alternative in Stalybridge and after 9PM you will have eat from YAMAS (who I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy as I had violent food poisoning for like 3 days) - ironically only ordered from there as I forgot about the closing time. Don't make my mistake!”

“We visited Jafra last week after walking past it several times. Menu is easy with many options. We had the 5-item Mezze which came with warm bread. This was amazing as a starter and we kept this as a side whilst having mains. For main, we had the Mixed Grill- nice and tender meat. We also tried Manakeesh which is a Palestinian bakery item. We haven't tried anything similar before, taste was a bit overpowering but it was a new experience nevertheless. The atmosphere inside was great, expect local Palestinian music. Service was great start to finish. Food didn't take long to arrive. I would highly recommend Jafra, and I'd go back again.”

Feeling a little gutted, we happened upon Borrello while heading back to Sale High Street… The food was amazing! The pan-fried prawns were deliciously zesty and crisp, and the stewed ribs were just so flavourful and hearty; just beautiful! I had a Mushroom Risotto with Truffle Oil, and my partner had the catch of the day (Lemon Butter Sole with Truffle Chips). Aside from feeling so fancy, the flavours were all perfectly and delicately balanced. My partner finished her meal with fudge cake and ice cream, which she polished off neatly. I was way too full for dessert. The portion sizes are big, in my opinion, but the food tasted so good we put away the lot with no problem. My eyes feel like they’re about to pop, but I’m very satisfied. Excellent service, great atmosphere (lovely decor - the walls are impressive) and reasonably priced too for the experience.
