Henry Royce Institute
● Closed“The Henry Royce Institute (often referred to as ‘Royce’) is the UK’s national institute for advanced materials research and innovation. Its vision is to identify challenges and to stimulate innovation in advanced materials research to support sustainable growth and development. Royce aims to be a "single front door" to the UK’s materials research community. Its stated mission is to “support world-recognised excellence in UK materials research, accelerating commercial exploitation of innovations, and delivering positive economic and societal impact for the UK.” Operating with its Hub at the University of Manchester, Royce is a partnership of nine leading UK institutions. It is a hub and spoke collaboration between the University of Manchester (the hub), National Nuclear Laboratory, UK Atomic Energy Authority, Imperial College London, University of Cambridge, University of Leeds, University of Liverpool, University of Oxford and the University of Sheffield. In 2014, Chancellor George Osborne announced the launch of the Henry Royce Institute for advanced materials science in his Autumn Statement in 2014. He pledged "a quarter of a billion" to support his proposals from June 2014 on creating a Northern Powerhouse. Royce was then established through a grant from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), which has been used to fund construction and refurbishment of buildings, equipment, and research and technical staff. Royce now coordinates over 900 academics and over £300 million in facilities, "providing a joined-up framework that can deliver beyond the current capabilities of individual partners or research teams.” Royce is one of the EPSRC's four major research institutes, the other three being: The Alan Turing Institute in data science; the Faraday Institution in battery science and technology; and the Rosalind Franklin Institute, which focuses on transforming life science through interdisciplinary research and technology development. These institutes represent a total financial investment of around £478 million and reflect the EPSRC’s vision and objectives ("to deliver economic impact and social prosperity; to realise the potential of engineering and physical sciences research; and to enable the UK engineering and physical sciences landscape to deliver"). The Henry Royce Institute is named after Sir Frederick Henry Royce OBE, a British engineer famous for his designs of car and airplane engines. Henry Royce manufactured his first car in Manchester in 1904, and in 1906 co-founded Rolls-Royce.”

For years I've struggled with presentations, avoiding situations and opportunities at work. She has helped me so much, by instantly put me at my ease, giving me practical tips to use and downloads plus the amazingly relaxing and effective hypnotherapy. I feel so much more in control with work presentations and thoroughly recommend Julie.”

Ascroft Medical - Dental & Medical Clinic
● Closed“Dr. Magda Wolińska is the Best and nicest dentist I have ever met. She is a perfectionist, very detailed, the treatments are completely painless, she creates a good environment that helps to feel relaxed. She only cares for saving the tooth rather than taking money out of you, which is unfortunately very rare nowadays. She really stays within budget. Finally, I have found my Dentist.:) The receptionists are also really nice, they really try their best to find as early as possible appointment date if really needed! Thank you very much, I would highly recommend her/them!”

Archways Private Medical and Health Clinic
● Closed86 Stockport Road, Romiley, Stockport SK6 3AA, United Kingdom“I’ve just seen the most awful review from Leanne Edwards, regarding Marie Rhodes, and feel I must counteract it with my own experience. My husband and I have been seeing Marie for a number of years now, and I can honestly say that without her counselling, my husband would not be here today. After years of being ‘in the NHS system’, my husband was not getting the help he needed and was getting worse. After suffering for many years with depression, anxiety and OCD he finally reached rock bottom. He was suicidal. I contacted Marie and she saw us the same day. Over the next few weeks, we saw her every other day, then every 3 days, and slowly extended the gaps between sessions. She is the most professional, kind, sympathetic, understanding counsellor we have ever seen. I say again, without her, my husband would be dead.. She has a way of getting him to open up to her that no-one else has ever managed. She is firm with him, when necessary and won’t let him avoid a subject just because it is uncomfortable to talk about. She lets him talk, without interrupting him. She encourages him when she feels he needs it. She doesn’t rush him. She doesn’t bomb bard him with questions. She listens. Her advice has been life changing for us as a family. My husband has his life back. There are still issues to be addressed and with her help he will keep on improving. I can’t speak highly enough about this wonderful lady. She is a credit to her profession! Alison Kempster Who is this Leanne Edwards!!.... I would love to meet her!!. Firstly I cannot believe people like her are allowed to leave such appalling posts. Her rude, arrogant and liable comments should not be taken as anything near to the truth about Marie Rhodes.... Sounds like because she didn't get a call back, she decided to spew her vitriolic, vile drivel on to someone who deserves nothing but praise! I have been to see Marie Rhodes for the last seven years and experienced nothing but professional care and attention. I don't know what her problems are, but I'll bet she was were treated in exactly the same way I was. I cannot let her totally untrue and cruel comments go without vigorously contesting them for what they are..... TOTALLY FALSE !!! Did she make any other effort to contact Marie and discuss the matter further before posting these lies?... probably not, because her kind don't care who they try to professionally destroy and condemn on a whim. I hope Marie takes this libellous post and sues her for deformation of character and asks for witnesses, of who I will be the first in line to testify!! But alas, I fear Marie is too good natured to do so. Oh.... and to attack someone who is unable to defend themselves in a public arena is at best sad and cowardly!!.. Amazing how people hide behind keyboards.. ask them to say it face to face?... never happens. Paul Kempster.”
