“Rooms are a lovely size and very clean, staff are very hospitable, breakfast is good. Train station literally opposite, very convenient. Only downside is no parking however the NCP next door is half price as you validate your ticket when you stay.”

“This was a quick sleep stopover between flights and I didn't have much of an expectation due to a recent stopover at another Travelodge. However, it was very clean and well maintained yet this is rated 2star?? (I stayed at Park Royal, where the carpet in the room was disgusting and toilet wouldn't flush, yet this was rated 4 stars!!!) Here at Stockport nothing was too much trouble as we checked in at 1am after a flight delay and this continued the following morning with excellent customer service from all staff. Definitely brought Travelodge back up the booking ladder for a stay in Manchester anyway.”

“My two cats just spent a week at the cats whiskers. They hadn't stayed in a cattery before so we were very anxious about it. The staff were really understanding and kind putting us at ease. The cattery is really warm and clean. All the cats in there all look really relaxed and happy. My two have come back happy and healthy, would definitely use again and recommend to anyone who is nervous about putting their cats in a cattery.”

“Went riding at Tarden Farm today for the first time, not ridden in 7 years so was a bit rusty and nervous. From the moment of walking into the yard was made to feel welcome from everyone which put me at ease. Beautiful well looked after and well behaved horses. Riding in lovely surroundings, couldn’t think of a better way to get your confidence back. Friendly and professional, would recommend. Will definitely be booking for next week.”

“We've used Heaton Mersey Cattery regularly for nearly 4 years. Lovely secluded location in woodland/farmland by the river, away from noisy cars and busy roads. Friendly, family-run, with sensible opening hours for drop-off and collection. Our cat is always very well looked after!”

“Delicious food with a great choice of meats. All fresh & served quickly with great service. The building inside is stunning with all solid wood decor. And they could use some more lighting in the building as it can be quite dull. Will definitely return.”

“Parked in the Bramhall precinct car park( free after 6pm) and popped in on a whim with the husband tonight. The service was impeccable, the restaurant looked great and the food was excellent. “It was my first visit to the O2 Apollo Manchester, I thought it was great, like stepping back in time to an old Cinema, I was sat at the very back, last but one row. The sound was great, the Nick Masons sauce full of Secrets was great, the staff were great. There were two negatives, security were going to refuse me entry because they thought I was drunk, I was able to explain I had a health issue, but it was OK for folk to get drunk inside, seated near me some folk were getting up during the show to get beer maybe 8 or 10 times, nearly falling down the steps, I thought that once the show started we should have remained seated, showsome respect to the Act and to fellow audience. I did not let it spoil my evening, I still had a great time.”

“Recently visited The Deanwater for a Business Meeting. A beautiful venue with plenty of space, lovely food and friendly staff. Plenty of space in the meeting suites, could of just done with access to a few more plugs for the laptops but on the whole would definitely return.”

“Used to take my previous Cairn Terrier - Louie there and we never a problem when he came home! Now we have another Cairn - TeSsie she’s only 6 months old and we were very concerned putting her in kennels so young but the trip we were making was unavoidable due to my husband’s (Michael) illness, however no need to have worried she was there 6 days and she’s fine , no problems back at home straight back into her/our routine! Thank you Joe and the team for looking after our furry baby so well, Tess will be back with a much less worried Mummy next time x”

“We have stayed at this PI regularly for about 15 years so that we can visit family. Even though team members have changed, it is still staffed by a great team of friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are spotlessly clean. Thank you all! However, over the last couple of years, a very clear and "uncomfortable" demarcation has evolved between this PI and the associated restaurant. The restaurant has extremely rigid rules for eating times etc. and enforces them in a forthright manner... it makes the whole hotel experience unpleasant. We prefer to eat at the great Café in Tesco, a short walk away. The staff are really lovely and the food is good - far less stressful.”
