“Today I went to Linguine for my best friends 21st birthday meal. There were 9 of us in total and the staff at the restaurant made sure to seat us on a large table with plenty of space. The table was very clean and set up lovely. The staff were very welcoming and friendly from the get go. The staff made sure that nobody was left without a drink and would regularly ask if we needed anything else. The waiting time for food was short and the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The food portions were very generous and very good for the price! The staff also brought out a birthday cake and everyone sang happy birthday. It was a lovely meal for my friends birthday all thank you to the staff at the restaurant. They definitely made our evening. I will be returning:) Thank you so much for such a wonderful night.”

“I really enjoyed the food. The service was excellent and the staff were very helpful. I got the mix grill for 2, and it was more than enough for me, my wife and 2 kids. The owners are great and made us feel very welcome. The decor inside is stunning and the food is fresh and really tasty. My little kids even got lollies at the end. “My wife and I took our girls to celebrate booking a holiday in the U.S. The food was great. "Nicely American" for want of a better phrase. Tasty and reasonable price. The place was very busy (and so quite noisy, hence only 4 out of 5 for the atmosphere). But the team were on top of it with not long to wait for food. Great job. Our 'server', Savannah, was brilliant. So friendly, helpful and polite. Very attentive without smothering us. I noticed every time she passed our table she had a quick look to see if drinks needed refreshing, where we were at with food, etc. She (like the rest of the staff) were working really hard. “Been meaning to try this place for a while, had my first Snobby Cow Burger and Dirty Fries, I've traveled far and wide looking for a good burger and had some good ones, but who knew that the best was right under my nose the whole time, amazing fries, perfect seasoning and ingredients and an amazingly juicy burger with the best concoction of toppings that complemented it perfectly. “First time visit to this place and had a fabulous time. The menu has a really good selection of starters and tapas dishes to choose from. As a party of 4 we all chose 3 dishes each which was plenty, the food was really tasty and cooked well. I've had tapas at other places which haven't been as good as it was here. The service was very good as we didn't have to wait long for the dishes and they all arrived together. None of us had any desserts as was comfortably full after. We had the red house wine which was really good but a little on the expensive at £19.50 a bottle. The food is reasonable priced per dish depending on your choice but all the drinks such as a glass of small brandy is quite expensive considering its in Sale. They had entertainment on, 3 guys playing Spanish music which was very good as all live. I would return as we all enjoyed the food with good service.”

“We decided to try Sokrates for our first restaurant meal out after having just moved to Sale from Birmingham. I have a soft spot for Greek food, but being vegetarians we have found in the past it can be difficult to find authentic and tasty veggie Greek food in the UK. At Sokrates we had a great experience. We ordered the vegetable moussaka which comes served with a small portion of Greek salad, and the four dip selection which comes with a basket of hot pitta bread. We decided to share the good between us The moussaka was a very generous portion and easily fed the two of us. The flavour was incredible. A lovely warmth from the traditional spicing of allspice, nutmeg, clove, and bayleaf. The dips were also very tasty, I especially enjoyed the beetroot skordalia. It had a wonderful glow of garlic. The interior is that of a homely traditional taverna, with plenty of tables of different sizes. The staff are friendly and generous.”

“Always a pleasure to dine here, this was a Sunday and not very busy but probably due to the fact that it has been a very hot day with a lovely evening and most people were probably still outdoors. I had the King prawn Shashlik which as ever was cooked to perfection, my wife had Tandoori chicken which was moist, juicy and full of flavour, there were a few of us and we all enjoyed our meals immensely. Ate here again and had the Shashlik again no complaints.”

“Called in unplanned for Sunday lunch with brother-in-law and my partner. It was quiet at first then after we ordered other groups arrived. From the outside the restaurant appears small but like a tar dis inside ,very clean and elegant and sophisticated. Staff polite and helpful give u enough time to order. Excellent selection of food to choose from, cooked to order and delicious with good portion control . Will return. Would recommend for ladies for baby shower and hen celebrations and family groups also. Manager told me they had ABBA night which was well attended so have requests for a return . “Best hotel I have ever stayed at. Reception staff are lovely and they offer room service. All of their food is delicious from the restaurant and when delivered to rooms. They have a hot tub as well as a pool (though they don't allow kids in it). Well cleaned, baths and showers are well maintained but you may need to ask for a fan in the summer as the windows don't open fully. Only thing to watch out for (especially for business travellers) is if you require wifi access for more than 1 hour, you have to pay extra.”

“I visited The Green Pepper on the 30 December 2021 with my parents. To say that the food was wonderful would be an understatement.The lady that served us was was very friendly and provided an excellent service looking after us. The place is well located with a carpark close by and a bus stop.The restaurant doesn't have an alcohol license but there are shops over the road if you wish to bring your own.They provide glasses if you do bring alcohol and they do sell soft drinks if you don't.They also provide a takeaway service. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a good Indian curry.”
