Great shopping experience in Glossop

“Well, where do I start. It’s great here. Great but… Just a few negatives. Or development points - Only 1 free pint. Pitiful. - my drinking partner made me hurry my drink. I’ll drink when I’m ready. - not enough staff smelled of disinfectant - the noise was too ambient - it wasn’t overpriced enough - the mistletoe was too high - too many urinal cakes - the lady with grey beard behind the bar had a ‘ghost of Christmas past’ vibe Other than that a really pleasant experience. The right amount of gas and stemmed beer glasses too. 6 out of 5 for me.”

“Friendly staff, plenty of slots for camping. Toilet and shower facilities were good and looked fairly recently refurbished. Only downside was that the road noise is extremely loud if you get placed at the bottom of the campsite, I’m sure it’s fine if you’re in a caravan but if you’re in a tent you’ll definitely hear it. Overall good experience and it’s well located for hikers and backpackers.”

“Popped into M&S Sunday needed flowers and chocolates for my wife’s birthday. The staff were very friendly and when I came to the checkout it was a bit busy so I went to self checkout. Not switched on to that system but a lovely lady called Carol whisked it through for me, she was great, service with a smile! My wife rates M&S and I can see why. We’ll done Carol!”

“This is a very well located pub/hotel for visiting Glossop main street and the surrounding countryside. The room was a good size, recently decorated, with a good bathroom. We didn't eat there, but the menu looked good. Breakfast was also available from 9.00am. The room and the food were very reasonably priced. Very nice helpful staff which made for an enjoyable stay.”

“I have been using this garage now for some time and I must say, what an amazing business. For years now I have been wanting to restore my mk1 Ford Capri. These guys have taken to the job and what a difference. So far, the front valance replaced, front crossmember removed and replaced, both sills replaced with plenty of welding, Cylinder head removed then full engine replacement all for a very fair price. The car is finally up and running and back on the road. I cant say just how impressed I am at the quality of their work. Next stage, Wings and bonnet then eventually a full respray. Turns out they have a full heated spray booth at the back of the garage, there really is no job that these guys cant undertake. Once again thank you Car Care Centre, I will continue updating this review as the restoration progresses!”

“A local Co-Op store, but always well stocked, clean and the staff are amazing. There's freshly baked bread, fresh fruit and veg, a good stock of cooked and uncooked fresh and frozen produce. Regular offers for loads of items including alcohol, snacks and more nutritious goods. As best as possible, the one-way system works. There's a hand gell and cart sanitisation station too. For a local store, it's great!”
