“We had a fantastic day at Manchester Bees forest school today. It was lovely to see my two children grow in confidence throughout the day and get involved with so much, including lighting fires and drilling! Thanks to Siân for making everything so accessible for my daughter, who is deaf. The children went straight into the bath when we got home, and the water turned brown with mud! That’s the sign of a great day!”

“The olive garden nursery is a fantastic setting for babies and young children. The staff are warm, friendly and caring! They really do go above and beyond to welcome all parents and most importantly, the children that they look after. The rooms are beautiful and very well equipped to ensure they promote a happy environment and a safe and secure place for the children to play and learn. I can’t recommend this nursery enough and guarantee that you won’t be disappointed if you send your child/children here.”

Chris and his partner the owners really nice down to earth people, if your in Uppermill pls go find this lovely lil hidden cafe entrance is on the front and go downstairs really well appointed estab sit on the river and forget about the daily grind also some under canope seating if the weather's not the best.”

“A really lovely hotel in a beautiful town , I stop often and staff are really friendly and helpful , the rooms are spotless and beds comfy which is not always the case with hotels , as for the food , not a huge menu but what they do is exceptional . Definitely worth a stay .”

“We came to the dog walking evening on the 27th of June. We had wanted to visit the gardens since they opened but this gave us, and our furry friends, the ideal opportunity to explore. What a resounding success it seemed to be. We absolutely loved it and cannot wait for the next one in July. Everybody we spoke to said the same as us. The gardens themselves are beautiful and we all enjoyed exploring. It is a place that is ever changing and I would like to see it in the different seasons. I really hope the dog friendly evenings remain a regular thing.”

“Lovely park for families with young children. You pay £4 for parking and the rest of the facilities are free to use. Decent play area and the little farm is a great touch with lots of peacocks.”

“Fantastic council owned park. Grounds are so well maintained and are a credit to all involved in their maintenance and upkeep. Nice cafe dog friendly with decent range of drinks and snacks but is slightly expensive. Nice little children's zoo and play area as well. Something for everyone.”

“I have to say I love this place, from the AMAZING banana bread to the healthy feel good juices! Also if your lucky enough to qualify for the delivery service they couldn't be more helpful, I called up the other night at 10pm to leave a voicemail to ask for a change to my delivery & Chris answered, I had to go away early the next morning so he said he would try his best to get them to me before I left & he did! Thanks Chris your a star!!”

“Always top of the drawer Chinese food from here. I usually have the Beef Chow Mein which is always delicious. Don't do delivery or have website & it's worth noting that its cash only but none of these reason not to give it a try.”

“Lovely staff in the cafe. In fact I wouldn’t call it a a cafe. I would call it a cafe I wold call it an restaurafe. The only down side was our drinks ( mine an extra hot cappuccino) was sat waiting for the waitress to take it to me. Therefore, it was cold when it reached our table. We were very close too where they make the coffee. The food was lovely and I was provided with with a bag for the other half of the wrap I couldn’t eat so I could take home. The Butcher’s had an amazing array of meat. The steak beef burgers that I bought were the best that I have ever tasted. The young lad that served me was very knowledgeable too. The staff in the grocery department were brilliant too especially when I asked the lady for ‘a quarter’ of pear drops ( I’m old school at 53) she didn’t bat an eyelid and gave me my (quarter) of sweets. What can I say? 24ct gold service.”
