“A very nice place to visit for breakfast. I had the ‘full English’ which was excellent - large portions of all the right ingredients. Beans not exactly to my liking, neither the method of serving tea, but for most people they would probably be OK. Excellent service by a happy, cheerful and well organized waitress. “can I firstly say this place is certainly no longer run by a bully !!! the new landlord is the kindest friendliest man I have ever had the privilege to meet. He goes above and beyond to help and welcome his customers. the place is a fantastic venue with 2 pool tables dart board great jukebox and lovely bar staff. we love calling in on a Saturday afternoon we live 10 miles away but it's such a great place we make the effort as it's worth every penny!!!”

“Great pub, very welcoming lady at the bar, friendly patrons, no nonsense landlord. We were with our 7-month-old and had no problems to bring her in, as we visited during the afternoon. Ironically, I spent my secondary school days looking at this pub as we went by it on the school bus, and now I've finally been! Hooray!”
