“Have only visited here for breakfast. Has to be the best independent café, I have visited in Glossop. Staff are really friendly. Food is five star couldn’t ask for more. The only criticism I would have is there is not many tables, but it’s what I think makes unique.”

“Popped into M&S Sunday needed flowers and chocolates for my wife’s birthday. The staff were very friendly and when I came to the checkout it was a bit busy so I went to self checkout. Not switched on to that system but a lovely lady called Carol whisked it through for me, she was great, service with a smile! My wife rates M&S and I can see why. We’ll done Carol!”

“Called in 4 days ago when everywhere was snowed under and the roads were deadly with ice! The absolutely lovely landlady came rushing to the door and guided us into the warmth. She had one of the staff make a hot coffee for my husband free! I bought a lager and lime which was just perfect. While we were there two paramedics called in to use the toilets; and again, the landlady made them both a cup of coffee free of charge! What a lovely, down to earth lady! The other staff were friendly too. Really nice, traditional pub with wonderfully welcoming staff. Highly recommended! ☺️”

“The Balti Palace has been a hidden gem in the heart of Glossop for many many years. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff are bubbly, down to earth and friendly. The chef is superb and his style of cooking is authentic Indian. Great blend of fresh spices makes dishes taste that much more special. The owner is a very sweet humble and down to earth man with monumental people skills. This is deffo a hidden gem and its time that this great restaurant received the exposure it deserves and people come and try the amazing rich and flavourful food they have to offer. “I’ve had maybe 15 different orders from here and every time it’s been piping hot, full of flavour and excellent service. I do think the chip portion could be slightly more generous but super happy with the quality and flavours! Great work folks!”

“One of the best lamb shanks I've possibly ever had. The lamb just melted in your mouth. So full of flavour. And the chef was so friendly after coming out to tell the group I was with a little about each of the Thai dishes they had. Would highly recommend to anyone.”
