“What a joy to step into (excuse the pun) such a great shoe shop. Marvellous customer service. Danny and his whole family work together to make it a pleasant experience. The range of shoes is great. I have to have comfortable fitting shoes and I've found a gem of a shoe shop that supplies such high quality, comfortable fitting shoes. More importantly wider fitting ones too! In the past I've walked long distance and endured the pain but with Allens footwear I'm now able to to walk long distance in amazing pain-free comfort. You can't go wrong with such a fantastic choice.”

Excellent shop with a great selection of brands and styles with patient staff who ensure that you get the perfect fit for your child's feet. Also recently had an issue with a manurmanufact defect on one shoe that had been purchased a few months prior. This was resolved within moments of walking into the shop. “A brilliant, independent, spacious shop - children's, men's and ladies' shoes, boots, sandals etc. Not your average shoe shop - much more. Friendly, patient, personable 'staff'. Array of styles, colours, sizes, etc. Great bargains in the sale. Quality footwear, wide range of practical, everyday, different and exquisite stock. Prices are comparable to all good shoe shops - but definitely worth every penny.”

“The 5 stars are for the shoes and young man who served us, not the whole experience. I took my grandson for his 1st pair of shoes. The member of staff who actually served us was great. He was patient, helpful, and didn't seem to get stressed when baby didn't want to have his feet measured, he couldn't have been any better, just a very nice young man, along with another male member of staff who offered extra help. I had a bit of trouble getting out of the shop. They had a barrier and a lady manning it. For some reason she mustn't have been able to see two adults with a pram waiting to get past her in her peripheral vision, another member of staff shouted her to get her attention, she then moved to the side but didn't move the barrier, when I mentioned I wouldn't be able to get the pram out she moved it a little to give us the smallest space to get out.(I work in retail so I'm always polite to staff as I know how hard it can be when dealing with customers. For some reason she wasn't being helpful at all.) Apart from that, we were very pleased with the service from the 2 young men who served us and the shoes.”
