“Recently visited Recently visited Oldham’s pet shop just to check out their fish selection after they kindly gave me some info via Instragram. I’m very much into tropical fish keeping, most local shops will offer your general big name products for tropical fish but you tend to find anything other than beginner tropical fish stuff is lacking in local shops. I was pleasantly surprised by OIdham’s though. They don’t have loads of tropical fish species, but they do have some stuff other than the normal guppies/tetra (they also had them!) and clearly the fish were well cared for. Didn’t notice any signs of stress, clean (and clearly cycled) water and tanks. Fish I purchased (Siamese fighter/Betta) settled into his new home almost instantly which suggests to me he was looked after in his old home as well. Even when they were removing the fish from the tank and packaging him up for me they handled him extremely well! All the other gubbins you’d want for your basic fish keeping needs as well. Did have non-tropical fish as well but didn’t really look at them. Loads of other stock around for other animals, birds, rabbits, dogs and cats. Some very friendly looking dogs (owners? Friend of owner? not sure!) were in when I visited. Plenty of other general pet/garden items, got some sunflower and wildflower seeds which have germinated well. Oldham’s is a classic old fashioned pet shop, with absolutely lovely staff (even the young Saturday work lads were super friendly!) who ask the right basic questions about the fish I was purchasing. Genuinely do recommend them!”

“I bought my beautiful BEL python from this shop last week and had a lovely experience. The owner has a vast range of knowledge about the reptiles that he breeds and was happy to answer the questions that I had. He's a really friendly and approchable guy, who even let me hold one of his other snakes that I'd never come across before. If I were looking to purchase a snake again, I would defintely go back and it was worth the two buses that I had to get to reach the shop”

“Beautiful new addition to the villages, we needed a coffee shop like this! Gorgeous interior, friendly staff (very accomodating of my iced coffee request on a lovely sunny day in saddleworth), delicious healthy food options that are a refreshing change from the usual village coffee shop offerings. Also I absolutely love all the diary alternatives that they offer and so nice not to be charged extra for choosing coconut milk. Will carry on recommending people to visit”

“Been trying out their ibar disposables for a couple of days now i must say how impressed i am with them the flavours you get from them is pretty good and satisfying. They all come in at 20mg Nicsalts 2ml/ml liquid at roughly 500 Puffs. I totally recommend ibreath_official great service.”

“An awesome place with superb grub. I had The Houston burger with added brisket and pickles. Really nice thick juicy patty and high quality bacon & brisket. Just the right amount of sauce too. The bun was light but also held firm with the filling. The iron brew chicken fries were also delicious. Not a big fan of regular fries but these were crisp, fresh and well seasoned. Huge portion too! I also had tasty bbq beans and some refreshing coleslaw to cap a brilliant tray of food. A delightful experience in a quirky establishment with terrific friendly staff. Highly recommend trying it for yourselves.”

“Well I love this place. Food was brilliant if a little expensive and it took a while to arrive as it was really busy. Mix up over the drinks was put right soon enough. The cafe has been taken over by the shop co-located with it. Results are great. Staff were lovely and they also have raised over £1000 for the victims of recent terror attacks.”

“The girls at Petal Bloom designed and supplied our wedding flowers. We were absolutely over the moon with the results when we saw them on the day. We didn't want a "flowery" wedding we wanted just enough for the bridal party and the rest to be rustic with greenery. The girls understood my vision and got it just right! My bouquet was huge, messy and dark ... the exact words I used to explain what I wanted. But it was so elegant and even had streams of burgendy ribbon running from in for that little something extra. I couldn't have asked for more! The boys button holes were perfect ... not too much but went perfectly with the rest of the wedding. The girls were easy, had so many ideas, professional, talented ... I could use all the positive adjectives in the world!! We will be booking for another afternoon tea very soon ... as that is also SPOT ON! If you want somewhere nice for a spot of lunch. “Fabulous food & lovely atmosphere, it was our first visit here & we'll definitely return. We tried the pizza's but the Italian standard dishes that everyone else were ordering looked fantastic. The decor is a little dated but if you value food quality over a restaurant "looking modern" then definitely go here.”
