“Lovely public house with a great beer garden and an outside function room. Smallish car park with room for maybe 12 cars. Been living in the local neighbourhood for almost 13 years and never knew this existed. Well done for turning a small local pub into a great venue for small parties. Will be visiting again.”

“First visit to the Horton Arms today and I wasn’t disappointed .Lovely, cosy pub- great menu with lots of choice and the food was delicious. What really struck me were the staff -every one of them were really pleasant, helpful and attentive. A gem of a place which I would wholeheartedly recommend.”

“Absolutely love coming to wing yip, growing up i didnt really go to asian supermarkets and as i've got older i have come to love the trip to our local supermarket. The range and variety are absolutely stunning, there are brilliant little finds here, it sells dishes, pans and crockery that help transform your dining from casual kitchen to oriental fusion. On today's visit i bought some lovely chinese snacks, which i dont believe i could find anywhere other than here at Wing Yip, i got some vermicelli noodles, some fresh vegetables and fish, i also got some fermented black beans which are absolutely stunning, i also when visiting here always grab something random and try it and today was a bottle of Heinz Ox Sauce which i think i'll coat some deep fried chicken wings in. They also have a brilliant and extensive selection of frozen food from sui mai to frozen crabs. I'd say this place would be amazing for all your chinese cuisine needs. Highly recommend to anyone looking to shop and cook this amazing food.”

“Best Chinese we have tastest in a while our new go to Chinese the chow Mein for me personally was the best and only chow mein I have enjoyed they had thin noodles and I would ask for the egg noodles to try next time but nothing wrong with the thin ones at all. The salt and pepper ribs where meaty and very flavoury again the best ones I have tasted The chips where good and the curry was also nice The thing that made the whole service 5 stars was the Chippy closed at 10pm we ordered for pick up at 10:55 and they stayed open till 10:10 which is fabulous customer service. Would definitely recommend thank you so much!!”

“Just got back from a one night stay and it was excellent. The room was spotlessly clean, the staff were extremely helpful. After a long drive up from Bristol it was perfect to pop next door and have a couple of beers. The breakfast was great, they catered for the vegetarians amongst us with no problems. “Please can all our customers accept our apologies for over the last few weeks for any chip issues you may have encountered, potato’s have seasons and unfortunately July / August are mixed bags which is out of our control, the mixed potatoes all fry differently. We now have the new season potatoes in stock to provide the quality of chips we are all used to from the Frydays team”

“Great pub to drink in. The last 2 reviews were customers who had gone in for free drinks every day. Landlady with the blueish hair had tried to explain to them that it was one free drink per week for regular customers and they took offence. The landlady and the 2 girls who were working the bar were doing a great job with the covid rules and tried their hardest to meet everyones demands.”

“Visited today with my young son and couldn't be happier with the food and the service. I had the gammon which was very juicy, very well cooked and was nice and hot and my son had the lasagna with chips, salad and garlic bread which was very well presented and again, nice and hot. The portions were large and top quality food. Highly recommended. We didn't even have to wait too long. We also wanted to thank Georgia and Aneeka for looking after us, they came to our table on more than one occasion to make sure we were happy and if we wanted anything else. Assets to the team!! Sizzingling red donnor meat served fresh with hot red chunky chips covered in Bur-Grill sauce. The red donnor meat is full of flavour in every bite, soft and juicy in texture. The grilled Piri Chicken is a masterpiece. Cooked through on the grill, the flavours are captured in every bite. The steamy white meat comes away as you pull the pieces of chicken apart. I can see why people would travel from around the UK to experience this food.”
