“This was our first escape room experience. We loved it!! The whole set-up was very well run from the briefing video at the start to the photo and lovely hot chocolate at the end. The staff were great. We did Merlin's Magic Academy and it was just at our level (Us two plus our 15 and 10 year old sons) ...we almost made it out within the hour :) Plenty of help during the challenge if required but it flows very well. Looking forward to returning and doing another room soon.”

“This cafe is well talked about and very popular with the locals. It's a hidden gem of Stockport. If you like a Sunday afternoon tea this is the place. Lots of little cakes and good quality tea, the thing to have is the teared plates. But will set you back 15 per person. But well worth it. Little sandwiches. Nice. It's all art deco... so it makes you feel like you should dress up to visit!! Service is quite posh here. Love the 1930 feel.”

“Lovely pub/restaurant. Very friendly staff and the food is fab. The crispy duck salad was especially tasty! We had lunch out in the garden - beautiful setting overlooking the river. So peaceful and picturesque.”

“Went there today at 4pm. Ordered soup for my mum and I had prawn cocktail plus two roast dinners lamb it was absolutely delicious plus chocolate fudge cake and cheese cake will definitely be going again. Prices good for the quality of food.”

“Had takeaway a couple of times from here and it's been delicious both times! Prawn and mango salad and massaman curry especially good. They package things really well for delivery (cold salads separate from hot food) etc which is thoughtful.”

“Cracking food and a tasty authentic masala chai served in a lovely hand painted tea pot from India. We were given a very warm welcome and were also treated to a free mango lassi that would otherwise have gone to waste. Oh, and the decor is fantastic too. Highly recommended!”

The dishes are much more interesting than your usual Indian restaurant - with so much more flavour and beautifully presented. There are excellent vegetarian choices for both starters and main courses. The staff are really friendly and attentive and keen to chat about the menu if you need help choosing. “What an amazing experience this was. Currently this week on a training course in the area and we stopped off to have an authentic beautiful and delicious meal. Incredibly friendly service would not hesitate to come back. Such a lovely restaurant which proves that individual restaurants are the best. The place is full of personality and friendliness.
