“Went riding at Tarden Farm today for the first time, not ridden in 7 years so was a bit rusty and nervous. From the moment of walking into the yard was made to feel welcome from everyone which put me at ease. Beautiful well looked after and well behaved horses. Riding in lovely surroundings, couldn’t think of a better way to get your confidence back. Friendly and professional, would recommend. Will definitely be booking for next week.”

“What a fantastic place, we hadn’t been before, we were greeted with kindness, we were settled in, everything explained to us and then the fun began. Painting unicorns, making memories all with a brew, juice for the children, gorgeous cake, just wonderful. I truly could not recommend this lovely venue to all ages, enough!! “Excellent service in the shop even at high volume times. Although the shop is small its very well organised and the staff really know thier product. The website is a great addition, really user friendly and simple to navigate around. We ordered to pick up from the shop just before the schools went back so right in the middle of the mad uniform rush with no delay to the order being ready.”

“I had a great stay here. The bathroom was modern and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the service was really nice. I asked for cheese to have for breakfast and they brought me some. The breakfast basket they provided contained some nice items. I had a one day stay for business. Booking was through our corporate system. I managed to park on premises, no issues as the site is safe. Upon leaving they requested payment, I mentioned that the corporate booking company would settle, and offered to leave my details in case of issues, they appreciated this. No problems whatsoever. I'd definitely stay again when visiting Manchester for business. If there's one thing I would like them to improve is the breakfast offering. There's a fridge in the room, please offer slices of cold cuts such as cheese and ham along with bread and butter, you don't need to leave these items in the fridge for every guest but I do believe you should have them on demand if requested. I was provided two small blocks of cheese rather than slices, I was happy to have the cheese but I was unable to have a "proper" breakfast sandwich of buttered bread with cheese and ham slices... a chunky block of cheese does not taste very good in the middle of a huge piece of bread.”

“Excellent place for swimming lesson. My 7 year old loves the classes, her teacher is amazing, friendly and helpful too. The difference in her swimming in just a few lessons is massive.”

“I take my 2 young grandchildren regularly to this lovely park. My only issue is the number of dog walkers, often with several dogs each. As it is a park that is well used by families I feel that dogs should be kept on a lead. Otherwise it's a beautiful local asset.”

“It's quiet and comfortable with excellent staff who do go the extra mile to take care of the customers. The rooms are a little dated but that is something that doesn't really bother me. The parking is easy and it's close to all local amenities so it's a good deal all round. I didn't get the chance to eat there but apparently it is very good food.”

“Visited on Sunday 18th April 2021 - Pay and Paddle / Self Launch With the current C-19 restrictions, we've not been able to get to the lake district for a while, and were looking for somewhere close to home for a relaxed family paddle. We have our own boats and equipment, so were looking for somewhere we could self launch and enjoy some family time. After speaking to one of their really helpful staff, Shannon, by email - we booked a two slots online for the early morning. Arriving about 15 minutes before our time to check in, we were issued with tags for our boats and given details on where we could paddle (there was a water polo game in progress in a small area, and in the afternoon the deeper end of the lake hosts powered craft and some open water swimmers. We were lucky with the weather, warm, sunny with only a slight wind - as otherers have mentioned, some areas of the lake are fairly shallow, however this didn't cause us to ground out either kayak, or struggle paddling. The water was exceptionally clear and there was plenty of wildlife - keeping a respectful distance - the kids enjoyed seeing the gees and swan nests. It was a great fun day out, exceptional value for money and one we plan to recreate as soon as we're able! Thank you to everyone on site!”
