“We have been with White Cross Vets in Walkden years now, they were amazing when my cat got attacked the vet actually drove us in his own car to the animal hospital as she needed to be admitted. Unfortunately she passed away at the hospital and someone from White Cross rang me a couple of days later to say sorry and they sent us a card. I had a 15 year old dog called Benson which I adopted when he was 11, they were outstanding with him from the minute I got him. When I had to have him PTS they were so caring and patient because I was a mess, the vet lay on the floor with me and Benson as he didn’t like being up high, so the vet suggested laying on the floor with his blanket she made one of the hardest things I’ve ever done so calming and not scary for Benson. We now have 3 cats and a dog and each of them get amazing care from them. The only thing I don’t like is the Emergency out of hours vets they use, as I have had 1 phone call to them and all they were bothered about was talking about money, I was asking for advise over the phone and they refused to give any saying they can’t do that. I did raise this with white cross afterwards when they were back open. Thank you everyone at White Cross in Walkden”

“I'm not usually a fan of Chinese food but this one is without doubt the best I have ever had. It is a little different to other Chinese style takeaways as they don't use or rely on MSG to give their dishes flavour. I don't feel bloated or feel like rubbish after eating out here. Looking forward to the next time I visit Manchester as I will most probably be calling in.”

“All the staff are welcoming and friendly. I go 1 to 2 times a week and get the same treatment. The food is always great and the latte is amazing, even when different staff members make it, it has the same consistency which is how I like my latte. If you are ever in Walkden pop in and give it a go.”

He kept me appraised of the case as it developed and constantly offered his advice and guidance in order to reassure me about any concerns I had. “Great shop, Iceland need to staff it propery, there was an incident of theft, yet the staff couldn't get the stock back as understaffed. Come on Iceland, the savings in preventing theft must pay and extra member of staffs wages. We have security in a smaller Little Hulton store yet not in the larger Walkden store. Madness!”

“Due to a nasty fight breaking out between my two male gerbils, I made the difficult decision to split them up and took one to the Walkden store for potential adoption. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and it was clear that the gerbil's welfare was paramount. Thanks again.”

“Good established cattery and kennel's. Always straight forward to book in and collect pets. Our cats always seem healthy and happy when collected and if you collect as they open you don't get charged for that day.would highly recommend this establishment.”

“I've never been here before, so I booked a table for Valentine’s Day. Called the restaurant as we were running about 10 minutes late, and that was no issue. Got there and was seated right away. I got a table in the corner, which was nice, and also a red rose on the table for all dinners, nice Valentine’s Day touch. Had a choice of the main menu or special menu, ordered from the main menu. The food came quickly and was really nice. Will definitely go back.”

“Best fish and chips I’ve had outside of going to a restaurant for a long time. We have an ‘award winning’ chippy closer to us but much prefer the Winton Bar. Freshly cooked fish, and you can order small fish which for me is more than enough. They lightly batter them on request and they’re cooked to perfection, nice crispy batter and lovely chips (2 small portions enough for 3 of us) not all hard and bitty like I’ve had elsewhere. Friendly staff too.”

We'll definitely be back here.....in fact we did come back for Sunday dinner....it was soooo tasty. Update: I've lost count of the number of times we've been back here. I've still to find another place that does a better burger than the House Burger....absolutely amazing.”

“Great local warm friendly pub with great drink offers, staff and great entertainment all week with a good old fashioned quiz on a Monday night, open mike every other Tuesday nights, Bingo Wednesday nights, Friday tea time entertainment at least once a month and not forgetting the Karaoke on a Saturday night with over 135,000 songs to choose from it caters for everyone and also great disco as well to have a dance to.”

“What a great honest bunch here. My tyre pressure light came on (car only 4mnths old); took it straight there, they looked at it , checked all my tyres over and pressure and found nothing wrong....no charge. It's the only garage my daughter will trust with her car too. Highly recommend”

Tonight I forgot to order poppadoms I called up to ask if they had forgotten them (not realising it was my mistake and I hadn’t added them to my order) within 5 minutes they had them at my door complimentary! So not only is the food great but the customer service is amazing too!! Can’t rate them enough!!”
