“Visited on Sunday 18th April 2021 - Pay and Paddle / Self Launch With the current C-19 restrictions, we've not been able to get to the lake district for a while, and were looking for somewhere close to home for a relaxed family paddle. We have our own boats and equipment, so were looking for somewhere we could self launch and enjoy some family time. After speaking to one of their really helpful staff, Shannon, by email - we booked a two slots online for the early morning. Arriving about 15 minutes before our time to check in, we were issued with tags for our boats and given details on where we could paddle (there was a water polo game in progress in a small area, and in the afternoon the deeper end of the lake hosts powered craft and some open water swimmers. We were lucky with the weather, warm, sunny with only a slight wind - as otherers have mentioned, some areas of the lake are fairly shallow, however this didn't cause us to ground out either kayak, or struggle paddling. The water was exceptionally clear and there was plenty of wildlife - keeping a respectful distance - the kids enjoyed seeing the gees and swan nests. It was a great fun day out, exceptional value for money and one we plan to recreate as soon as we're able! Thank you to everyone on site!”

“I have been in the Brewers twice recently. Its very nicely decorated and comfortable inside. The Cocktails are 2 for 1 which is fab. On a nice day you can sit outside and the atmosphere in the village is vibrant and fun.”

“Theres always plenty to do for the kids and the bowling is good fun too! can I just mention Charlie has gone the extra mile for us on a few occasions and is a real pleasure to your company! very happy with the service we have received from her on multiple visits. “I thoroughly enjoyed my three night stay at this wonderful hotel. In particular the staff, Alex and team, were amazing, friendly and couldn't do enough to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Bear in mind this is an old building and some of the rooms are in need of a little bit of TLC but the views are fantastic and it's great to be able to stay in an iconic example of 60s modernist architecture. The restaurant and breakfast area particularly stylish. I would definitely recommend - worth requesting a more recently refurbished room if you do so.”

“I had a wonderful evening at a performance of 'Dad's Army'. The entire thing was highly professional - the costumes were wonderful, sets elaborate and detailed, and the acting was excellent. They even coped very well with one of their actors being taken ill before the performance - the show must go on, I guess!”

“My experience living at Globe House has been nothing but pleasant. I love my spacious apartment and the facilities downstairs such as the spa & gym are just a bonus. It takes me 10/15 minutes to walk straight into the city centre which is ideal for me. I would definitely recommend living here, all the staff are kind and considerate and I never miss a parcel with the concierge service!”

“Booked Interclubbers for our sons christening and was very impressed. From the point of booking Nat has been fab, answered all my questions promptly. On the day of the christening Nat and Dale helped us set up the room. We hired the balloon arch which just made the decoration and hired the bouncy castle which all the kids loved. Both of these was very reasonably priced. Nat did the hot food buffet which all my guests commented on nice it was again much cheaper than other quotes i got and worth every penny. Staff were extremly friendly and we will defo use this venue again as staff went above and beyond Thank you to both for making our day a great one”

It's different from all other restaurants I have been to (in the best way possible), and I found it quite refreshing and exciting to try dishes that aren't so common and easily found elsewhere. “Cool bar in Bramhall with an acre ski style vibe. Card only but bring some coins for the juke box to listen to your favourite tunes. Cocktails were good and you get 2 for £10 4 to 7pm Mon to Thursday.”
