“I had a great stay here. The bathroom was modern and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the service was really nice. I asked for cheese to have for breakfast and they brought me some. The breakfast basket they provided contained some nice items. I had a one day stay for business. Booking was through our corporate system. I managed to park on premises, no issues as the site is safe. Upon leaving they requested payment, I mentioned that the corporate booking company would settle, and offered to leave my details in case of issues, they appreciated this. No problems whatsoever. I'd definitely stay again when visiting Manchester for business. If there's one thing I would like them to improve is the breakfast offering. There's a fridge in the room, please offer slices of cold cuts such as cheese and ham along with bread and butter, you don't need to leave these items in the fridge for every guest but I do believe you should have them on demand if requested. I was provided two small blocks of cheese rather than slices, I was happy to have the cheese but I was unable to have a "proper" breakfast sandwich of buttered bread with cheese and ham slices... a chunky block of cheese does not taste very good in the middle of a huge piece of bread.”

Clean and tidy environment with toilet facilities if needed. Had an amazing piece done yesterday, couldn't recommend George highly enough!! Super happy with his work, will definitely be going again. Also got to see Lois at work and again a excellent tattooist happy and chatty. You both made me feel welcome and at ease. Well done guys x”

Had no idea what I was looking for as it seems ballcocks come in all shaped and sizes. After explaining my dilemma Lee promptly found the exact item I needed and I was sorted. “I am a student midwife and my uniform was very big and ill fitting. I went here and asked if they would alter my uniform to make it more fitting, and that I needed it in a timely manner and within 2 days it was done! I picked it up and all the alterations are amazing. They tapered, hemmed and brought the waist in perfectly! I also asked them to wash it whilst it was there and its come out brill. I will 100% be using these again in the future! Thank you!”

“I ordered fence panels online, completing the order was frustrating owing to a technical problem ! But once completed Jewsons were brilliant ! As part of the problem my order was designated as collect, but I wanted delivery. The branch was closed , so phoned next day to rearrange delivery, this was done with no problem. My order was delivered next day . Brilliant. As an aside the fence panels were mad by Grange, approximately £4 dearer than those sold by most diy stores, but the difference in quality is like chalk and cheese ! Well done to Jewsons and staff for their help and stocking quality materials !”

I've visited them infrequently but they still remember me by name. They are cheap but you definitely get quality you can trust, they never try and over charge you, and only pay for what you need unlike some garages.”

“I bought 6 bags of blue slate on 03.07.20. The man on reception was very pleasant and helpful. He also fully complied with the companies social distancing policy. I picked up the bags outside from the service yard and again all staff were very helpful. In fact the operative helped me to load the bags into the back if my car. I will be visiting Buildbase again because their prices are very reasonable and customer service is excellent. Service with a smile rules ok.”

“Visited on Sunday 18th April 2021 - Pay and Paddle / Self Launch With the current C-19 restrictions, we've not been able to get to the lake district for a while, and were looking for somewhere close to home for a relaxed family paddle. We have our own boats and equipment, so were looking for somewhere we could self launch and enjoy some family time. After speaking to one of their really helpful staff, Shannon, by email - we booked a two slots online for the early morning. Arriving about 15 minutes before our time to check in, we were issued with tags for our boats and given details on where we could paddle (there was a water polo game in progress in a small area, and in the afternoon the deeper end of the lake hosts powered craft and some open water swimmers. We were lucky with the weather, warm, sunny with only a slight wind - as otherers have mentioned, some areas of the lake are fairly shallow, however this didn't cause us to ground out either kayak, or struggle paddling. The water was exceptionally clear and there was plenty of wildlife - keeping a respectful distance - the kids enjoyed seeing the gees and swan nests. It was a great fun day out, exceptional value for money and one we plan to recreate as soon as we're able! Thank you to everyone on site!”
