“Enjoy some Indian and Persian food at Ivory IndoPersian Hidden away on the edge of Stockport, Ivory IndoPersian provides a mixture of Indian and Persian food. Each type of cuisine has its own chef, so make sure you order off the menu that you prefer - don’t expect your asian spices on the Persian dishes. It was really busy when we visited, and at full capacity it may feel a little cramped. Don’t let that deter you from trying it out though. The Indian dishes were; \Pani Puri [£3.50] - This was spicy and yummy, with mashed potatoes inside. The tamarind sauce was really tasty \Ivory Indian Special [For 2 £30.00] - Big, juicy, crunchy prawns just the way we like it and with a proper tandoori taste. The meaty lamb chops were done exactly how you want it \Achari [£12.90] - This was such a good recommendation from one of the owners. Sweet yet spicy and filled with a mixture of spices - such a good lamb curry The Persian dishes were; \Mix Mezze [£7.50] - Included the cucumber yoghurt, a mixed salad, hummus and yoghurt. The cucumber yoghurt was refreshing, the yoghurt tasted like plain, greek yoghurt - think it was meant to be garlic and shallots but this didn’t come through. The indian naan bread that came with it was nice, but a Persian flatter bread would have been better \Ivory Persian Special [For 2 £37.00] - Same as the indian special, the lamb chops were pure meat! The chicken was juicy, the flat kebab a little dry and the other kobedas cooked nicely \Zereshk Polow & Chicken [£12.90] - A sweet taste, quite like rose and saffron providing that unusuality. A simple, unique dish that was really nice The sweetness for the end consisted of the list below. We were so full by this point that they gave us little tasters so we could see what they were like; \Gulab Jamun [£5] - Pure yum but imagine with a bit of ice cream, this would have been heavenly. “Yummy desserts! Myself and partner visited on a Sunday at around 6:30pm and found ourselves a table and got to pondering what to order straight away on their very varied menu. I landed on the vegan mango & coconut waffle and my girlfriend chose the nutty banoffee waffle. You go up to the counter to order, with my mango & coconut waffle, I preferred coconut gelato rather than the mango sorbet which comes with that particular waffle. I asked if I could swap the sorbet for the gelato and the girl on the till did so without problem and to no extra cost. She also notified me that the coconut gelato isn't vegan which wasn't a problem to me as I'm not vegan, it just so happened that I liked the sound of the toppings on a vegan waffle. I thought that her telling me that this swap would no longer make the dish vegan was good attention to detail and good looking out for the customer. The wait in between ordering and receiving our waffles wasn't too long at all, I'd hazard a guess at around the 10 minutes mark, which we had no problems with, we were in no rush. The waffles - absolutely amazing, presentation was great, we were both very happy when we saw them arrive. the coconut gelato on my waffle was perfect, I'm a sucker for anything coconut and it was so good. Mango sauce was great too, the waffle itself was very nice, light, fresh and warm. My girlfriend's nutty banoffee waffle looked great too, a very healthy scattering of sliced banana all over the waffle with an equally healthy drizzling of chocolate sauce and toffee sauce. One thing we found which may be of some use to others who plan to buy a waffle from here is that the vegan waffles are about half as thick as the normal waffles. I managed to each all of my waffle and my other half struggled with her last third or so, upon giving hers a taste I could definitely taste the difference. So if you want a lighter than usual waffle I'd recommend the vegan waffle, just as nice as a normal waffle but about half as thick, gives you a greater chance of enjoying more of it before getting full :) It's a shame there seems to be a lot of reviews that aren't quite as positive as mine and I'd hate to think we just 'got lucky' and dodged their usual dodgy service and food but we really dined here without complaint and would quite happily do so again. I'd recommend Creams Stockport to anyone in search of a nice dessert place in Stockport :) *NOTE* When we visited on the 15th August, the opening times on google stated 11am-11pm Mon-Sun, yet on the window of the store itself the opening times were 1pm-10:30pm Mon-Sun. I suggested an edit to the opening times on Google to no success as of 25th August so have attached the opening times sheet that was on display on 15th August 2021, hope this helps.”

“Called in on a whim as had the afternoon spare but a mountain of work to catch up on. Nice big space with plenty of seating. Greeted with a happy smile and hello by a member of staff behind the counter. Was shown to the wide selection of sandwiches, panini, et al, and cold drinks. Chose the jerk chicken & cheddar which was phenomenal. Ordered a double espresso, the sandwich, and a juice which all came to much less than I was expecting. Was told by the member of staff to take a seat and they would bring it over, which was a nice touch. The double espresso was perfect. Perfect! After being let down over and over again by weak, tasteless, watery espressos by other coffee places in the area, this one blew me away. By far the best coffee in Stockport. Managed to sit in a relaxed environment and get all my work done with a chilled soundtrack in the background. Everything from soul to liquid drum & bass. Other services offered on site are tattoos, piercings, and a merch stall. Observed one member of staff dealing with customers coming in for piercings, and they were extremely friendly, professional, very reassuring to someone feeling a little nervous. Would give more than 5* if I could. Will definitely be back. And after looking at the artists work on social media, I’ll definitely be booking myself in for my next tattoo. Looking forward to next time.”

When deciding where to have my 30th birthday party a few people mentioned that Fig&Fennel do private events in the evening - wow wow wow! Lee was great! “We've used Heaton Mersey Cattery regularly for nearly 4 years. Lovely secluded location in woodland/farmland by the river, away from noisy cars and busy roads. Friendly, family-run, with sensible opening hours for drop-off and collection. Our cat is always very well looked after!”

“There are 5 great great burger places in England I’ve tried… Almost Famous, Slap & Pickles, Fat Hippo, Burger & Beyond and this place… and I’d argue this place (along with Slap & Pickles) are the best.. Menu is a whole load of fun, they always have great specials and the sides and chicken are great too… it’s only a small place so there isn’t a whole load of space but I quite like that about it!! Feel like a bit of a tucked away American diner!!! Honestly - get yourself here… you won’t be disappointed!! You’ll be very full… but deffo not disappointed!! :)”

“Absolutely hidden gem cafe in Stockport with good price. All the food source from the best in local farms. My son Luke loves the sausages so much and so am I. The other favorite is the mushroom soup, fresh made and creamy. If you want some dessert, I would highly recommend the Victoria sponge and fresh made pancake.”
