“Wish ide take a picture but was to keen to eat! I'm vegan and had the vegetable skewer starter and then the aubergine curry, it all tasted so fresh and healthy. The husband really enjoyed his chicken saag to, he said it was full of flavor. Great prices with the discount to, good proper authentic food. “Unfortunately I am now single after 60 years of marriage but booking for just me wasn't a problem . Unlike most Italian restaurants they offer a range of veal dishes which are excellent along with an very extensive menu of other dishes. They are always busy due to quality and value for money and you need to book.”

“Truly delicious! Hot and flavoursome food in decent-sized portions that are delivered promptly. I especially like the variety and volume of vegetables that come in the veggie dishes. And lots of big slices of chilli so you can have it hot or pick them out as you please. Always delighted with a Marple Thai takeaway!”

“Excellent food, nice cosy atmosphere with an open fire. This is not a standard Robinsons food pub, it has local fresh produce prepared by a good chef, with nice little extras. Staff are always polite and the best thing for us is that we can go somewhere for an excellent meal with our dog, as they welcome dogs and always ask if you want water for your dog. Since we moved to the area a couple of years ago it is our favourite place to eat out without leaving our furry friend home alone.”

“Called in 4 days ago when everywhere was snowed under and the roads were deadly with ice! The absolutely lovely landlady came rushing to the door and guided us into the warmth. She had one of the staff make a hot coffee for my husband free! I bought a lager and lime which was just perfect. While we were there two paramedics called in to use the toilets; and again, the landlady made them both a cup of coffee free of charge! What a lovely, down to earth lady! The other staff were friendly too. Really nice, traditional pub with wonderfully welcoming staff. Highly recommended! ☺️”

“Strines Nightingale shows their is hope for an incredible venue, after death by annexed strangulation, that has been dished out by the corporate drinks industry to the independent pubs in the High Peaks. There’s nowhere you’d rather be locally. The type of place you’ll realise makes you want to relocate to the area. All whilst listening to music worthy of James Ford short. It’s effortless. You won’t be disappointed. A credit to the area.”
