Simply the best Caribbean food you will taste unless you go to Jamaica!! “What can I say? Incredible doesn't quite cover it. My niece and I went yesterday as a treat for her 30th birthday. We were greeted with a smile, the door opened for us, and promptly taken up to homage on the mezzanine level above the glorious and very impressive restaurant. We were seated in the most exquisite room, and both felt very special indeed. Our jackets were taken and hung, the menu's described to us. We each ordered a cocktail to start, and these were delicious . Amy had the special cocktail of the day which was aptly called lovely lady ( very fitting for my niece) and I really wanted something with an almond flavour, so one was created for me, very impressive. We then ordered our cheeses, 3 to start, and we paired these with wine. We followed this with even more of the extensive cheese selection. Again paired with wine. Each cheese has a chutney alongside it to pair with the flavour of the cheese. Some little bread roll, and some biscuits that basically melted in your mouth. I even had a dessert which was incredible, unfortunately I cannot remember the name of this, but it was a little like a creme brulle, with tonka bean flavour ( similar to vanilla) it had the perfect combination of sweet and salty. The room we were in was absolute luxury. There was relaxing background music, candlelight everywhere, very comfortable chairs, an extremely intimate feeling to it. We literally had the room to ourselves which made it feel even more special. The bathroom is situated on the same floor which is great. Last but by no means least , Michael was our incredible host, very knowledgeable about every wine and cheese, extremely professional, attentive and I would say an absolute asset to Wood. Thank you Michael for making our visit so memorable and special. I would highly recommend homage at Wood. You will not be disappointed.”

“One of the best Turkish restaurant in the area. Beautiful seating hall. The seating area is very big but it was even on Wednesday afternoon. But we didn't have to wait. The food was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are big. Other than Hummas everything was so delicious. I won't recommend Hummas from this place. Very friendly and polite staff. And service was fast as well. No dedicated parking”

“As a HongKongers, we had a lot of authentic Japanese cuisine in asia and Japan. I would say their foods were amazing (and authentic)and by far the best sushi in here. Great to have a new Indian restaurant in South Manchester, I’ll definitely be back to try out more dishes! “Absolutely incredible! Visited with a friend and her 2 year old daughter on a Saturday for brunch. The owners were both super hands on and really friendly - all the colleagues were fantastic and really great with my friends daughter. It's great to see an eatery where the service is still personal and you get a real sense of family and pride from everybody. The food was outstanding - really good selection and lovely nod to NZ food. We had two brunch dishes and desserts. The bakery selection also looked fabulous. And of course they sell L&P! Have already recommended to everybody and will definitely be coming back regularly. Thanks so much!”

“Sextons is a bakery , coffee and brunch place as well. The quality of all products i ve tried exceed my expectations. The location is just lovely, touching the river. The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful and polite. I rarely give 5 stars If it was a sixth star i wouldnt hesitate to give it to Sextons”

“An amazing experience! The inside is decorated beautiful, the staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was divine. We had the takoyaki and fried tofu to start. After this we had the sushi set 1 (mixed fish sushi selection) and vegetarian sushi set (mixed vegetables selection) which was incredibly yummy, fresh and looked beautiful! We finished our meal with ice cream mochi and pancakes. In total the price was beyond reasonable (think under £60 for 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts and alcoholic drinks) Will definitely be back!”

“I arranged a surprise birthday get together for my husband’s birthday on 23rd October. Lauren was fantastic in helping me organise this & sectioned off the room behind the bar for family & friends. I ordered sandwiches for everyone who attended. They were delicious & everyone enjoyed them. All our family & friends agreed that the Norfolk Arms is a great pub, with great staff & a great atmosphere. Thanks for making the surprise party really special! Highly recommend!”

“Paulicarus tells me I have been here before but if so, I have no memory. Nice Tapas bar with upstairs kitchen and toilets. Paulicarus brought Mum for early Mothers Day treat. Loved every dish. A gooey centred tortilla. Crispy belly pork. Lovely beef stew. Calamari, peri peri, veg stew etc. Definitely come back. Lovel sherry to finish.”

“Most recently we went for early (around 9am) breakfast with our 2 year old. It was quiet but still had a pleasant atmosphere. Service was great and very friendly/accommodating. We sat in a booth which was good for toddler control! Food was delicious and even our toddler ate loads (beans on toast).”
