“Went today for my 1st haircut since the end of the full lockdown. When you go in, your asked if youve a mask , they then tell you to put ant items your carrying i.e keys phone purse etc into a basket which you take round with you. At the sink you have a plastic apron put on followed by a hairdressing cape followed by a towel. Your then taken to a station to have your hair done.the hAirdresser and assistant both had either visor or facemask on and wear gloves. All the salon is spaced out with tape. I felt very comfortable and safe and got an excellent haircut as well.”

“Lovely, clean and well presented, small, dog friendly cafe and take away. Ordered 2 spam, egg and cheese barms to take away - £6.80. They take contactless and cash. Staff lovely and polite. Barms were made fresh and took about 5 minutes. Barms were scrumptious! Bread lovely and soft, very fresh. Egg was dippy. Only slight criticism could do with a little more spam. Small step into cafe so maybe a struggle for wheelchair users.”

“Excellent school, rated "Outstanding" by OFSTED. If you don't want to take the word of the OFSTED inspectors, ask a parent of a young person that attends the school. The school motto is "Learn, Sparkle, and Shine", and it really comes across in the way the staff interact with both the children and their parents. There seems to be an energy and enthusiasm for both learning and the encouraging every child to maximise their potential. This is a church school with links to the nearby Farnworth St. John's (Church of England); however, the children are encouraged to understand and explore faiths of all varieties. The school offers a wide variety of extra activities after school, such as art, chess, computing, dance, and various sports. There is also a "breakfast club" which allows parents to drop-off children at 8am for a small charge. The staff encourage children to take on additional responsibilities, such as joining the school council, keeping the school tidy, or promoting technology within their class. A wide variety of visits (outside the school) take place each year, both far educational purposes and to enable the children to participate in the wider community. Sports day is a fitting climax to the school year, and the extra effort put in by the staff ensures that all the children (and parents) are kept busy as the class groups rotate through the multiple events taking place at the same time. This is a large (two-form-entry) school that recently extended their buildings, but does not loose any of the personal touch thanks to the dedicated head-teacher and her hard working staff team.”

“I have 3 daughters that all now attend the dance classes here ranging from 4 to 9 years old. Amazing dance teachers and professional dancers in their own right. I wouldn't take my girls anywhere else, they absolutely love it here. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.”

“Excellent teaching. Attend adult ballet and recently started tap. Rachel is patient and understanding and most of all, we have fun. The showcase last April was inspiring. Talented pupils of all ages performing skilfully and with obvious enjoyment. Recommend to anyone / any age.”
