The results are stunning - the rooms are transformed but thanks to the attention to detail, they also look as if they’ve always been there. Everything works so smoothly - precision engineering. Rooms are lovely and clean and well stocked with the normal tea, coffee etc Breakfast is excellent, so much choice and cooked to order. 5 minute walk to Dunham Massey and lovely homely pub next door with a real coal fire”

“This is a beautifully decorated, rustic, enchanting hotel. The 400 year old building is very comfy and warm. An extremely relaxing environment. A fairytale feeling to the aptly named Wizards retreat. Welcomed by the owner Ian and introduced to the area, given plenty of ideas for eating and day out opportunities. The suite (Merlin Suite) was extremely comfortable, warm and a delightful place to stay. Cake, biscuits, teas and coffees and toiletries all included and of a high quality. Just an absolutely delightful stay which we plan to repeat to experience one of the other suites there.”

“We have used the pet boarding for our two guinea pigs several times and would never use anyone else. Tanya is amazing with the animals and they are looked after exceptionally well. The extra services are also great as the piggies usually come back smelling and looking fab!”

“I can’t believe I’ve not been before! Always chasing the sun I opted for its neighbour, as a treat to my mother I booked a birthday lunch here. I was pleasantly surprised, quaint courtyard with secluded spots you wouldn’t know you we’re next to a road. For food we tried all of the small dishes (tapas style) super tasty and enough to share. Engaging staff and a quirky interior see for a perfect visit. We will be returning soon”

“Great cosy setting. Been a few times now and had roasts and pizzas, all very tasty and nice food. Staff are friendly and polite. My children played darts and pool the staff were very accommodating. Have been back a few times now and will continue to return.”

“A very friendly pub with good staff, beer and clean toilets. A good selection of beers and a lovely beer garden. We stopped off while cycling the Pennine Way and will be back.”

“We stopped off here on the way home for food. They was amazing and very accommodating to us and our children. Our two kids are not the quietest but they was amazing here. They was given a little colour sheet and crayons. The food was amazing and very filling. The prices for us all to have starters, mains and desserts with a drink came under £100 which I thought was amazing!. Definitely want to return here but just with my husband.”

“The place is located a few meters from a nice pub and a communitie coffee shop ... Andrew welcomed me and he was very helpful and kind. The bathroom is big and very very clean. I loved that each room has the name of a famous person, I stayed at the Bruce Willis jaja. 5 minutes from the airport and very comfortable too.”

I was apprehensive, and generally don’t go out for Sunday Dinner as it’s always a let down compared to eating at home, but this was actually great, the Chicken was cooked to perfection, great portions, fantastic bar staff, and service, thank you James and Lillia, and Styal is a wonderful place to visit I will definitely be back with the family”

“We had the all inclusive wedding package at Wincham Hall, it took the pressures away of having to find our own florist, photographer, cake and car. Each of the suppliers they provided were amazing and provided a excellent service. The wedding day at Wincham Hall went perfect and everything went so smoothly. Not a thing I would of changed! “Amazing food and lovely staff. Had a little mix up with the order so I messaged them on Facebook and they responded straight away and dropped the correct food off really quickly. Mistakes happen but its the way people deal with them that makes or breaks the experience and the service from Cabin 22 was great and quick! We will definitely be ordering from there again.”
