“First of all, a big thanks to Nanette for such a brilliant day! My partner booked the birds of prey experience for both of us as a Valentines Day gift and it was full of knowledge and fun! It was easy to see how much passion Nanette has for wildlife which we admired and we even put to bed any bad opinions on vultures as Nanette wanted to showcase how these birds are actually quite funny and interesting regarding how they have their place in disease prevention in third world countries. There are so many birds here and all are beautiful and have their own character. Thanks again for such a great knowledgeable day and we’ll definitely be back soon for the Meerkat experience! “This is a beautifully decorated, rustic, enchanting hotel. The 400 year old building is very comfy and warm. An extremely relaxing environment. A fairytale feeling to the aptly named Wizards retreat. Welcomed by the owner Ian and introduced to the area, given plenty of ideas for eating and day out opportunities. The suite (Merlin Suite) was extremely comfortable, warm and a delightful place to stay. Cake, biscuits, teas and coffees and toiletries all included and of a high quality. Just an absolutely delightful stay which we plan to repeat to experience one of the other suites there.”

“Visited 25/10/2022, very popular location and lots of parking but fills up fast too. Great staff at the Timber Yard cafe, very helpful and getting requests done with ease for food and drink. Lots of walks to be done, family friendly and buggy friendly. Also steep incline to house from car park so there is a mini bus you can use to get you up to top with ease if you need it. The grounds are very scenic and worth a visit, highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Would 100% recommend. Really good value for money, premises and bedroom/bathroom/showers all spotless. Bed sheets clean and very obviously freshly dressed. Garden beautiful. Just wished our plans gave us the opportunity to enjoy the premises for longer. Would definitely recommend opting in for the breakfast, fantastic value for money and the owner was very keen to cater for personal or dietary needs. Very welcoming.”

“We have used the pet boarding for our two guinea pigs several times and would never use anyone else. Tanya is amazing with the animals and they are looked after exceptionally well. The extra services are also great as the piggies usually come back smelling and looking fab!”

“I haven't been to the park for a while, I really enjoyed it. Lots of areas have been deliberately left to go wild. There is also a lovely new playground. Lots of work going on to improve it.”

“Stayed for two nights as part of the New Year's Eve Gala Dinner package. Staff were excellent. Signature room we stayed in was very comfortable and modern. Food at breakfast, dinner and the NYE dinner all really excellent indeed. Nice temperature in the swimming pool and even nicer in the outdoor hot tub! Can't really fault this place and so would highly recommend a stay here.”

“Played Mottram Hall today and felt compelled to leave a good review. The course was awesome. Nice wide fairways with plenty of features and character. Interesting greens with tricky pin placements and lots of bunkers to catch you out. The course was in really good condition. I have played a few courses in the area and so far Mottram is my favourite. And it’s long, so plenty of opportunities to use the driver and fairway woods. We paid £25 each for a twilight round mid-week which is an absolute bargain.”

“Lovely and very quaint old post office made all the more special by the warm welcome and hospitality of the hosts Michelle and Paul. We had a great night's sleep in the comfiest of beds. Nothing was too much trouble for Michelle and Paul; a lovely genuine couple. Will definitely stay again.”
