It takes me 10/15 minutes to walk straight into the city centre which is ideal for me. “Overwhelmingly positive experience. Got recommended a rare wine from Uruguay that was the best wine I’ve tried. The meat variety and quality is ridiculously good, the waiters keep coming to offer new cuts of meat with a span of minutes until you stop them, and trust me you will. I was there for 2 and a half hours and ate all I could, nobody rushed me and the service is 10/10. I would highly recommend this place either for a date, going out with friends or family. It’s great for any case. I’ll have to fast for a day after this, but worth it!”

“Cheetham Star was closed for 19 months and finally its reopened. I really missed this place. Highly recommend their food, its usually delicious authentic middle eastern food, its fresh, especially the kobeda and chicken tikka on rice or naan. Really well made pizza's from here. Staff are friendly and the service is pretty quick, can eat inside or takeway. It can get busy at times. Really worth a visit. 5 stars!”

“What an unexpected surprise! Spontaneously went for dinner on Saturday evening. They found us a table in the upstairs area which was lovely. Food was delicious and the service was attentive and helpful. We returned to the downstairs bar for cocktails. All the little details made it a lovely place and we had a wonderful evening. “Lovely place. They have a good quantity of nice options to choose. The presentation of the food is good with prices running around 8-13£, they have also a day menu. Don't spect a fast food service, you will not come here to that. Waiters are really nice and friendly and the place is nice to come with a small group of friends, family or your partner.”

“The place is lovely. I used to go there a lot a few years ago, then went away so stopped. I went back today for a pizza because theirs are crunchy. The chef was adorable and we improvised that pizza I wanted for a takeaway (picture), totally yummy. The whole staff there is extremely nice and have always been. The decor is lovely but with all the tables occupied not exactly possible to take pictures. Always spotlessly clean, too.”

“Very nice place to have a few drinks and some delicious pub food reasonably priced. The Botanist is beautifully decorated, the cocktails and selection of drinks is is impressive. I really enjoyed my halloumi hanging kebab and sweet chili fries. The staff is very approachable and attentive. Special thanks to our waiter Sam who kindly made sure that we were happy and well attended at all times. Will go back :)”

“We had the garlic bread with cheese, margarita pizza, mixed salad, and truffle pecorino ravioli. Everything was delicious. The garlic bread is the same size as a pizza not really a starter so note that. The mixed salad was basically shredded lettuce and cucumbers with some onions; not that it was bad, but I would’ve expected at least some form of dressing to go with it. The ravioli was superb and one of the best we’ve had. Margherita pizza was great. Both pictured desserts were delicious. Food arrived promptly and well prepared. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. Breakfast - it's always wonderful when I stay at any hotel to know that kippers are available. They were good. The buffet breakfast is freshly cooked and attentively replaced. Cold meats, cereals, cheeses, fruit and pastries, and alternative milks readily on hand. Luiza's greeting on the front desk was friendly, attentive and with a welcoming smile. The restaurant was busy (7-7.45am), but all staff, including the trainee(s) were calm, not rushing; a specific mention also for Ndeye who waited on our table attentively, collected our plates/dishes when we had finished and asked if we would like more milk. Luiza told me it was only Ndeye's 2nd day... amazing.”
