Convenient takeaway in Oldham

“Honestly such a nice takeaway, not even drunk and everything is so fresh, fresh salad. I had the panner pakora kebab and it was so nice, didn’t feel greasy at all. So nice and fresh seriously I would eat here during the day !! Lovely staff as well! Happy new year ! Lots of vegan options too”

“Called in whilst my wife went in the store shopping. I had coffee and a tea cake. They were both very nice. Served by a beautiful young lady. Who had really good manners and was very polite. I'll add her name next time I visit. People will say. It's her job! She has to be nice and polite . But you can tell when someone means it. The cafe was nice and clean. Overall a nice experience. Well done .”

“Went there last night with my family and we really enjoyed it. It was fairly quiet when we went, the inside looks nice and the tables are evenly placed. Everything we got tasted really nice, especially the Sriracha wings and the service was very good. The place only takes cash which was kind of bothersome. But we would definitely go again.”

“For fresh tasty food this is the place here in Oldham. Soon as we walked in the guy behind the counter said it's going to be a minimum 30 minutes as everything he was preparing was fresh. Was well worth the wait. Had a Tawa for 4. Starters were all fresh and tasty. A mix of everything apart from Chops. Maybe they were extra. Then we had 2 Karahi dishes which were extremely tasty and as were the fries too. No complaints here. The place was a nice clean environment. 5 stars from me. Will definitely be paying another visit next time I am in Oldham. Keep up the good work guys.”

“First time I went to German donner , nice clean , great location . I ordered two donner mix boxes with chips and cheese one was large and one regular size. I paid £1.50 for a large one , when I got both Donner mix boxes I was so confused because both boxes where the same size and looked equally filled up . I dont know how much extra donner can be crammed in to the same size box . I wouldn't bother paying extra £1.50. UPDATE 2ND VISIT Anyways so I went again to german donner , and the donner was burnt , I told a worker and she offered to give me some more donner but it was stil burnt They definitely probably got loads of complaints that day. UPDATE 3RD VIST So i visted German donner again on the 26.01.2022 I ordered a donnar kebab meal , i got to say it was it was very pricey but it was soo worth it . The food has really gone up in standard since my last vist . Best thing no burnt donner The staff where really lovely , but to be honest they always where lovely and helpful everytime i went . So i feel like German donner really does take in everyones feedback and works hard to make things right so il be giving them a better rating x”

“My husband and I love this place! We have never had a bad experience, the staff are lovely and super helpful. I recommend pre-ordering and collecting as they can be very busy but the food is most definitely worth the wait. We will not go anywhere else. We even buy food and take it to our relatives who live an hour away as it's far better than anywhere else even after travelling and reheating. 10/10 recommend.”

“I don't understand the negative reviews tbh, had the lamb tikka and chicken tikka on naan and it was lovely, flame grilled tikka and salad with medium and hot sauce (spicy). The bread was cooked perfectly and so we're the meats. The lamb was tender and the chicken juicy, the milkshakes are always spot on too. Thanks Village guys. UPDATE, I would at one point have recommended Village due to their customer care and quality fresh food, however I can't say the same in 2023. I ordered a chicken tikka on naan, and a mix kebab with shawarma on naan and right away I knew something was different, the shawarma had knuckles and bone in it, the lamb was tough as old boots and the chicken tikka was spicy to the point we couldn't eat it. We also had bad stomach ache that night and the day after! I called the takeaway and was told next time I order something to speak to the manager and he'll sort something out next time I order! I didn't want to write this bad review but in all honesty I'm offended that I should be expected to order again just to have my issue resolved and potentially get bad food again. Any form of reply from management on this review would be much appreciated as I was a loyal customer.”

“This place is awesome. The burgers are deliciously messy; oozing cheese, flavourful patty and the "dirty fries" are great! My personal favourite is "the original" milkshake; biscoff with the lotus sauce and biscuits... Simply mouth watering...highly recommend”

“Food arrived in 25 minutes, fully fresh 10/10. High recommend the chicken biryani and the chicken tikka. Was full of flavour Chicken was soo soft and tasty. Customer service was also 10/10 and even gave a free drink. First ever order from here and definitely not the last.”

“Absolutely fantastic staff, great selection of ice creams, cakes and other deserts. The biggest pro is that it is open till late night. Decent pricing and what looked like good hygiene practice as well. I would definitely keep visiting atleast once a week.”
