“We ended up in furniture village by chance one day when we were looking around different shops for furniture for our new home and I’m so, so glad we did. I do have to say that the majority of downstairs items weren’t our style, but upstairs we found so much we absolutely loved - so don’t be put off by what’s visible from the outside, it’s definitely worth going in to have a look around. On our first visit we saw a beautiful ercol sofa on display upstairs and then made our way over to the beds section where Laura came over and introduced herself to us. I’m not even exaggerating when i say, i never knew somebody could know so much about furniture, beds, brands and the business she’s working for. We spent around an hour with Laura looking at frames, material, trying different mattresses and pillows. She was super informative without being pushy and although she knew we weren’t ready to purchase there and then, she still spent just as much time with us as she would have would we have been paying customers, ensuring we had all the information we needed for when we were ready to make a decision. And because of this we knew we wouldn’t go to anybody else when the time came to buy. We left with loads of information, a hot chocolate i believe, and having found the bed, mattress and potentially sofa that we would like. A good few weeks later we saw there was a sale on at Furniture Village so decided to go in, have a look at prices and potentially go ahead with the order. Of course we only wanted to deal with Laura cause of how amazing her customer service was the last time we were in, so we caught her attention and patiently waited for her to finish with her customers. So first we went through the bed frame and mattress we wanted, Laura remembered from the previous appointment the ones we loved and we confirmed that we would like to go ahead with those options. Once the bed options were all confirmed we started to enquire about the sofa we loved, our timing was impeccable as it was only the evening prior to us going in again that they had received an email for the display sofa to go on sale - Laura agreed a price with the other managers which was absolutely amazing for us as buying and furnishing a house isn’t cheap so every little helps. You could tell the staff take great care of the furniture as the sofa looked good as new. We also enquired about the upcoming Black Friday sale and Laura reassured us that the prices are unlikely to go any lower, but should that happen they will price match themselves which was exactly what happened with the Tempur mattress we ordered. Because we chose the finance offer, it was a good few weeks before going in to set up the finance contract as we didn’t want our furniture delivered to a building site… during this time Laura has been so easy to communicate with, there have been multiple times when i have added other items to the order, or enquired about other display items from stores all over which she has organised for me no bother. I’ve honestly never received such good customer service, hence the essay of a review because this amazing lady really needs to be recognised for all her hard work. I went from going into furniture village by chance to furnishing the majority of our home from there, all of which was organised and accommodated by Laura.”

“My husband and I went to watch Hindle Wakes earlier tonight, and it was brilliant. :) Theatre is comfortable, the set was amazing and the bar and staff was great, (so much so, that we've already booked the next play.) If you're curious, go along. You will be pleasantly surprised, and I thoroughly recommend.”

“Great pub this. We only called in for an hour and stayed all night. Nice to see really good entertainment on. The Committee band really worked hard and played all the dance floor hits. The girl singer was amazing and they seemed to be on all night. Let us know when next they are on and we’ll be there. The staff were very polite and really got into the music. Great vibe. “Delightful staff that is always willing to help, a hearty helping of a delectable carvery, pizza, and burgers, with exactly what I asked for of each meal, made for the best lunch I ever had. I look forward to going there every weekend, they not only told us about the meal deals for the week, but also told us about the discounted dessert value meal, anyone who placed an order with us inquired about our allergies, which was a first-time for us. extremely skilled, we would certainly return because both the food and the beer were excellent.”

“Ordered 4 100L bags of Bark using click and collect. Received a message within a few minutes to say they were ready to collect. After a short drive I arrived at the store and the bags were waiting on a trolley awaiting my collection. Excellent service.”

“My favourite spot for shisha near me. For £20 you can get a shisha pipe and a pot of tea to share with a friend, making for a pretty well priced night to enjoy. Considering how relaxed the atmosphere is and how friendly the owner is every time I come, I much prefer this place to any of the shisha spots on Wilmslow Road.”

“I had a new Schuller Kitchen fitted in March 2021. I was quite particular with my specifications as I wanted to keep my existing granite worktops but replace all the units.
