Classic italian pizzas in Manchester

“Today I went to Linguine for my best friends 21st birthday meal. There were 9 of us in total and the staff at the restaurant made sure to seat us on a large table with plenty of space. The table was very clean and set up lovely. The staff were very welcoming and friendly from the get go. The staff made sure that nobody was left without a drink and would regularly ask if we needed anything else. The waiting time for food was short and the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The food portions were very generous and very good for the price! The staff also brought out a birthday cake and everyone sang happy birthday. It was a lovely meal for my friends birthday all thank you to the staff at the restaurant. They definitely made our evening. I will be returning:) Thank you so much for such a wonderful night.”

“Fabulous food and service, full restaurant with pretty much one waitress who did a sterling job and kept everyone happy, no delays prompt service. Outstanding food had 3 courses and all fabulous. Nutella crumble for dessert absolutely delicious! Will be back soon!”

“Great find for pizza in the edge of the Northern Quarter in Manchester city centre. Staff all appear Italian and are really friendly. All customers are"the Boss" . Pizzas were every bit as good as the photos. Reasonably priced too. Must try the swing seats the next time. Will go back the next time I'm in town.”

“Lived in the area for over a year and finally visited the restaurant on Friday evening. It was fantastic. We got the 3 course deal which I think was around £22 ( £18 for 2 course). Fantastic food and the service was brilliant. Very warm and attentive staff and the atmosphere was lovely. Nice high ceilings. Lobster bisque ravioli was 10/10 and the pavlova for dessert was the best I've ever had. We walked out with high praise and can't wait to return.”

“Great authentic Italian restaurant, the courtyard makes you feel like you're in Southern Italy! Food is great quality and freshly made on the night. The pizza was smaller than I anticipated but that allowed for a more well rounded meal than you might get at another Italian restaurant as we also had room for a starter and a dessert. Covid safe and staff were very helpful and friendly.”

“Very cute Italian restaurant right next to the Piccadilly Rail Station and near the hotel where I had booked. Enjoyed a 10 ‘’ pizza for lunch. Perfect thin crust, great toppings and super service. The staff seem to be Italian so you are eating authentic pizzas .”

“Sugo was recommended to me as a must eat when visiting Manchester and it did not disappoint. All of the food was absolutely delicious and so fresh. I’d really recommend the Cavatelli ‘verdure’ for main and the burrata. The restaurant was really busy, and had a good atmosphere and prices were really affordable given the quality of the food. Would book again next time I’m here!”

“Just walk-in to this restaurant around the corner of city center, a small entrance and it’s not big inside. Luckily not many people on Sunday afternoon. Very traditional and classic Italian style decor inside for dining area, with an English bar table reception. A number of choices on wine and drinks, but would love to see more selection for red wine. Several choices on starter, ranging from soup to bread and salad mostly. Didn’t tried the main, but the pasta section is enough to pick your favourable one although don’t know why risotto is classified under pasta. Food quality is exceptionally good. Of course you can’t compare it to those Michelin 3 stars restaurant as the price for food in this restaurant is more affordable. But considering the price and food quality, it is very value for money. I tried the Ravioli All’ Ara Gosta, it’s like Tortellini with Lobster meat crunch inside. Very special and good match with tomato and bisque sauce. The minestrone soup is rich with vegetables which I recommend personally. I don’t like the Pate much as the chicken liver taste very different from Foie gras, but given it is my first time to try chicken liver, why not give myself a trial.”

“Walked past on a few occasions and thought it look very nice from the outside! Came up for my uncles 50th and was excited when I found out the meal was booked here. Table of 17 people and everybody got food at the same time, there was no stupid wait time for drinks either and I'd say they were very busy that night so a credit to the team and management staff! As for the food....well.....wow!!!! I went for the lamb and I was not disappointed! Packed full bursting with flavour it was cooked to perfection just as I requested! All washed down with a cocktail again made to perfection! Can't fault anything about this place at all 11/10 will definitely be back!”

“We came in for dinner on a Tuesday. The weeknight evening set menu was a great deal with really fresh, tasty and authentic food in generous portion sizes. Service was also lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal - even had some leftovers to look forward to at lunch the next day! Highly recommended.”

“We went to this resteraunt Sunday evening after a recommendation from a friend....we were not disappointed! What a fabulous place we had a drink at the bar whilst we waited a few minutes for our table. The resteraunt itself is clean and very stylish it had a great atmosphere. There are a variety of dishes to choose from and you can see the cooking station from your table! Our food came quickly and was absolutely gorgeous! The staff are courteous and attentive we had such a lovely evening we will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend the Tiramusu delicious!!!”

The decor is a little dated but if you value food quality over a restaurant "looking modern" then definitely go here.”

“I love this place. I'm not a vegetarian. However, everything I have tried from this place is amazing. Would definitely recommend. It also does a variety of different things. One of them being live music. Sometimes it is heavy metal though... my favourite meal is the quesadilla with home made chips and a shake (not decided on my favourite yet). Their staff are friendly and food is affordable too.”
