Classic fish and chips in Manchester

“Sent on behalf of my parents Les and June as me and my brother have already posted a review. What a truly great plaice haha everyone knows each other, service is spot on. Food is incredible, always a pleasure to dine there and Pam and Kevin know each of there customers and its like 1 big family, and they make sure everybody is well looked after. It's definitely the best chippy we've been in. Very highly recommended can't get better than the Middleton Chippy. See you all soon Les n June”

“Had some chips at the Jubille celebrations so thought we would have fish and chips Sunday night for tea. Ordered through just eat. Brilliant service. Food arrived fresh and hot. Will definitely order again. Not much open on a Sunday so great to have Mr Chips as an option.”

“As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised how delicious everything was. Full of flavour and such a great find here in Manchester. I had ordered the egg curry along with the mushroom xacuti and loved both. The portions are also generous so would highly recommend to people who want to try goan food or just want to be reminded of back home. The couple and their family were also extremely sweet and welcoming. Will 100% order again.”

“It was my 1st time trying to deliver it from this shop tonight my neighbour Has ordered it a few times and rated the place extremely high She normally orders fish and chips Which comes in a Cardboard Box with a hole at the back to let the steam out to keep the fish crisp But tonight ordered 2 fish and the chips separate the chips was in the cardboard Box They was Good after a couple of minutes in the air fryer The fish were in plastic trays with lids on They Wasn't the best Was edible after 5 minutes In the air fryer but not the best The fish was nice but the batter Terrible The fish need to go in the cardboard boxes if they come with chips or not to keep them crispy But since this time I have ordered again and the fish-and-chips is Epic”

“I ordered a large breakfast for £5.95. Comes with 2 bacon, 2 sausage, hash brown, 2 eggs, black pudding, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms and 2 toast. Plus £1.20 for a cup of tea. It was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. The staff are very friendly and a credit to the cafe.”

“Been a few times since new owners took over now and thought it wasn't possible but prefer it even more. Staff are great and food is delicious, meal deals and offers make it great value as well. Definitely favourite chippy when at home.”

“I visited this restaurant for the first time and I must say I was really impressed with the service and food served. Their Lobster meal was massive and tasted good, along with the african meal (Amala and Okra soup) I ordered. I would 100% recommend this place and they also do deliveries if you think of it.”

“A fantastic pub decorated beautifully. There's a lovely conservatory to have your meal too. I had the carvery. There was about 5 different meat choices and huge Yorkshire puddings. Pigs in blankets are available at an extra charge. There's a great selection of vegetables. Lovely roast potatoes, boiled potatoes, mushy peas, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, mixed vegetables. 3 types of gravy. Vegetarian, meaty gravy and gravy with peppercorns. The usual sauces are available, apple, cranberry, mint. Our server was Marc who was just delightful. Me and my friend will definitely be coming back.”

“I do not leave reviews very often but I have to for this one. We came for a Christmas Eve meal in a beautiful setting. From the food all the way down to the service, they go above and beyond to make you have the best experience. Food is bursting with flavour and filling. Had some of the best service I’ve ever experienced here, staff are kind, friendly and fantastic with the children. I cannot fault anything with this restaurant at all. Thanks for a lovely evening. We will definitely be back soon!”

“Came as part of a hen party on a Friday night, the cabaret and music in between were both great. None of our party of 10 had been before but we would all go again. Drinks package was great. Two minor things were, with where we were located it was hard for us all to watch our drinks when other people came around and started using our tables (the two big wooden tables near the stage) one table would have been suitable for us all if they were separated. Also some of the party ordered food and it didn't arrive. Even so we all still had a great night.”
