“Me and my family went here for a birthday tea off of a shining recommendation. Could not recommend more, the food was amazing, best jalfrezi I’ve ever had. The mixed starter was gorgeous. Could not have asked for a better server, Jax treated everyone single of us like royalty. Every thing was evenly priced and amazing portion sizes. Everything we needed was met instantly. Can not wait to go back, our new place! Could not reccomend this place more best Indian going!”

“I think the rating of this restaurant on Google is absurd, and reaffirms that people only ever leave bad reviews. Our experience with this Chinese is pretty consistently 9/10. Portion sizes - Brilliant. Food Freshness/Taste - Brilliant. Service - Brilliant. Overall value - Great. The Salt & Pepper chefs box, chow mein, chicken satay, special curry and chicken wing menu items never let us down . We have tried other Chinese restaurants in the area and always find ourselves quickly regretting not ordering from here at No. 1.”

“My experience every time I go to this restaurant is absolutely nice. Great customer service, serene environment and lovely ambience. The only issue is parking because it is located in a very busy area of the city. I would also prefer more comfortable seats. The high-five drink is super amazing. My overall experience so far is good and I will always revisit.”

“Gorgeous food, staff and ambience. I lived in HK for a while and have really missed milk tea, ginger coke and all the staples. This is the best and most authentic food I've had for years (even in HK) , I wouldn't be surprised if this gets a Michelin star at some point. We had the French Toast, Typhoon Pork and Egg Fried rice and it was just amazing! I've only had food this good in super posh places in HK so I hope Broughton knows how lucky it is :). Lovely vibes, great music, lots of light and nice and chilled. I also love that you can choose from sharing dishes, snacks and specials at reasonable prices. “I ordered here via Deliveroo last week, had egg fried rice, kimchi pancake and salt and pepper chicken. The food was amazing and I didn’t notice or watch how long it would take to deliver but it felt like it was delivered in good time. The driver from the restaurant brought it right to my door (unlike other Deliveroo drivers who will make you come down) I loved the food so much I added it on my list of places to eat back at and did a google search which is where I saw the poor reviews on here. I’m surprised to see some of them as I had a pleasant experience - I would say to give it a chance.”
