“Excellent food, nice cosy atmosphere with an open fire. This is not a standard Robinsons food pub, it has local fresh produce prepared by a good chef, with nice little extras. Staff are always polite and the best thing for us is that we can go somewhere for an excellent meal with our dog, as they welcome dogs and always ask if you want water for your dog. Since we moved to the area a couple of years ago it is our favourite place to eat out without leaving our furry friend home alone.”

“We've tried Lucky's in Oldham, so we wanted to try the one in Stockport. The place is very aesthetically pleasing. There are a few tables upstairs and more downstairs if the place is packed. The menu was extensive with a lot of variety. I got the Route 66 Burger and a Mango mojito. The food tasted nice and it was presented well. Would definitely go again to try the other things on the menu.”

“Casa De Moor! Wow! Started on the smoothest latte then got beautifully cooked food (the poached egg was divine), extremely satisfied with the taste, quality and size. Can't wait to return for the excellent service and superbly cooked breakfast!”

“Had a veggie brekky, was top notch. Served with hot filtered coffee straight away and the breakfast was nice and fresh. Offered condiments and ongoing customer service while eating. Pictures of meal below cost me £4.50 including my tea/coffee. Staff, food and environment were good. Defo recommend. My second review, come here regularly now.”

“Great, authentic Ethiopian restaurant within easy walking distance of town and Piccadilly and Oxford Rd stations. The restaurant is up the spiral staircase which appears you enter Istanbul Kebab shop! Several Ethiopian couples were eating when we entered - which was encouraging. We ordered lamb tibs, and misir what with injera. Food was good portion size - we couldn't finish it - and tasted great. The waiter and staff were smiling and super friendly and helpful. The bill was very reasonable - recommended - will return.”

“As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised how delicious everything was. Full of flavour and such a great find here in Manchester. I had ordered the egg curry along with the mushroom xacuti and loved both. The portions are also generous so would highly recommend to people who want to try goan food or just want to be reminded of back home. The couple and their family were also extremely sweet and welcoming. Will 100% order again.”

“Fantastic serloin steak for a work meeting out. Cooked perfectly with a nice intense charcoal flavour. The grilled halloumi with pesto was very nice touch, delicious. Very polite and attentive service in a comfortable environment. If I had to fault something my only grumble would be the long Island ice tea had too much lime which made the coke fizz flat and drink sharp (I am highly critical of cocktails)”

“Had taken a few years sabatical from the Shethu but decided to retry last night. Have to say it was delicious. The sauces here have alway been fantastic and last night didn't disappoint. We had popadoms, onion bhaji, chicken tikka korma, lamb rogan josh, lamb dansak and tandoori chicken with rice and chapati. Price was excellent too. I'll be back very soon. Well done guys.”

“Fabulous food and service, full restaurant with pretty much one waitress who did a sterling job and kept everyone happy, no delays prompt service. Outstanding food had 3 courses and all fabulous. Nutella crumble for dessert absolutely delicious! Will be back soon!”

“Quite simply, the best Chinese takeaway in Manchester. Food is perfectly cooked and great quality, not too heavy on grease etc. Great family owned and run business which has been serving the local community for decades- always busy, but that's because it's the best.”

“Really nice lil cafe, friendly staff, the coffee here is amaaaaazingly good a must try also the food looks top drawer!!! Chris and his partner the owners really nice down to earth people, if your in Uppermill pls go find this lovely lil hidden cafe entrance is on the front and go downstairs really well appointed estab sit on the river and forget about the daily grind also some under canope seating if the weather's not the best.”
