The Old Boat House
● Closed“Gorgeous setting for a meal during the day after a walk but equally lovely in the evenings. Traditional English pub with a great history, tied in to the local mining museum. Open fires in the colder months making it such a cozy setting and lovely outdoor area for warmer months. My most recent visit was after a change of landlord/lady. The food really delicious with great service. I'm vegan and had a really fantastic choice of options. My omnivore friends were equally delighted with their meals. Dog and child friendly.”

A good selection of hot/cold/alcoholic drinks and snacks available. Clean bathrooms on board. Lovely, attentive staff. Great value for the £10 cost. Definitely recommend and can't wait to go again.”

Diggle Lock
● Open“Great place, I’m so glad we found it this time. Google maps sends you to a road in Shaw. So ensure you type in the actual address when wanting to come here and not click directions from google :) it will save you a 20 mins drive lol Great service, food is top notch, prices are good with a great atmosphere. Definitely will be back. They have gluten free bread. Although not celiac friendly, as the kitchen is not set up for A gluten free station. They did ensure the bread was grilled away from the areas wheat had touched. Kids menu available and also a Dog menu too. The staff were really helpful.”
