“Had a lovely home made meal at the Royal Oak Hotel. Myself and my mum had the fish and chips and it was lovely. All freshly battered in the kitchen. I'm so happy they serve gluten free battered fish because it's so hard to find some where that does a good tasty range of gluten free food. My little boy also loved the chicken nuggets made with proper chicken pieces. The landlord and landlady are so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend a visit to this pub”

“My car broke down in near Stockport, I called the RAC. The brought me to this garage (at 4am). I live 120+ miles away from this garage, I was basically stranded. I called the garage in the morning, to let the know of my situation, the prioritised my repair, and got me going as soon as possible. They were great, very friendly and helpful.”

“I used to be terrified of going to the dentist, but my experiences at Poynton have cured me of that. I've had some quite extensive work done by Mo Al-Hamadani, and I have to say it was a pleasure! He is very calm, kind and reassuring, and certainly knows what he's doing. His assistants have all been so supportive - I don't know all their names, but the last one was Abbey. I have more work to be done, and I'm quite excited about it! Thank you Mo.”

“Vapour nation is a fab e cig store in edgeley run by debbie and gary. Pre covid they had reward cards to get a free product when ur card is full. Not sure if they still offer this. Staff really know their products and stock only high quality vape kits with a huge range of liquids. I got candy floss and grape lemonade and a new smok kit as my last one was terrible. Very happy to reccomend vapour nation to anyone looking for alternatives to smoking and they also own another shop in stockport but unsure where. X”

“We went to see an AMAZING jazz trio at the Moor Club last night, they were simply on fire. They play every other Wednesday and I would highly recommend you pop along. Even if jazz isn't your thing, the live music and atmosphere is wonderful. The trio is headed up by Maxton Beesley, its brilliant. The room would be great for a party, it has a bar and dance floor and plenty of seating.”

“Ultra Cooling repaired my air source heat pump today, I only called them yesterday! Fantastic service, quickly diagnosed and repaired, very reasonable rates, the engineers were really nice guys, I could not recommend them highly enough. Great job, many thanks!”

“Thank you to Noori Travels as this was my first time going on Umrah and Noori Travels was a recommendation from a colleague so I went to their Travel shop in Levenshulme and the service provided by Awais was exceptional as he provided usefull information regarding umrah and gave booklets,tasbees and water bottles for zam zam water. The visa process was fast and easy as I got it within 2 days. Also they gave fast responses to any emails or phone calls I did. Highly recommended as prices are reasonable and the travel agents are very reliable and friendly. Last minute flight booking is very easy with them as they respond with in an hour and provide flight updates”

Been in a few times,the new chef has some tricks up his sleeves , had the steak burger and my girlfriend had the lasagne, probably the least daring choice on the menu and still blew us away! 100% recommend eating here, stayed for a few hours afterwards for drinks too! Staff were brilliant too! Highly recommend!”

“Booked the Purple Pakora for a friends big birthday meal and the evening was fantastic. The staff had put birthday banners up for her and were very attentive bringing a little birthday surprise at the end of a very good meal. Both food and staff were lovely, thank you for the extra touches.”
