“My sister and I visited here before a show. She had a voucher from work that she wanted to use that allowed us to order from a set menu. The food was great, apart from the aranchini balls (they seemed a bit greasy). The service was also really good. The only bad thing was we were told at the end that we couldn't give a tip on our cards but we didn't have cash since noone (including them) is accepting cash anymore. We felt a bit bad but we were going to a theatre show and wouldn't have had time to go to a cash machine and come back. Definitely would go back here in the future.”

“Really liked this place. I tried coffee, different types of short bread, a muffin and Chocolate Tiffin. The Tiffin item was the best. I had to spend a very long time at this airport and the chocolate made me feel much better.”

“Love the pizzas and garlic bread with cheese as they out tomato sauce on it but shame about the size of the garlic bread and cheese must be about 3-4inch and only 4 small slices. Pizza is well cooked and nice flavours. I love the cookiea from dominos nice and hot and gooey you get £4 cookies for close to £5.”

“Where do I start with mels butty box what a host great customer service and a quality chef but the food, now let me tell you if you like black pudding and sausages I mean it when I say this you HAVE to try it! Does everything you’d expect good food good prices and knows what works! Definitely try it you won’t regret it.”

“We visit here for the first time yesterday for my friends birthday, a group of 10 people. The staff were very accommodating and polite and quick to serve us. The menu isn't overwhelming, yet with lots of choice and the food, well........ Absolutely gorgeous, fresh, full of flavour, and served beautifully. We will most certainly be back. “What a lovely coffee shop that serves light snacks too. I had the Greek Melt that was very tasty and my wife had the tuna salad sandwich. We sat in the front garden that's full of beautiful flowers. Staff were so friendly that is norm in this part of the country.”

“Beautiful new addition to the villages, we needed a coffee shop like this! Gorgeous interior, friendly staff (very accomodating of my iced coffee request on a lovely sunny day in saddleworth), delicious healthy food options that are a refreshing change from the usual village coffee shop offerings. Also I absolutely love all the diary alternatives that they offer and so nice not to be charged extra for choosing coconut milk. Will carry on recommending people to visit”

“My husband and I often have brunch or lunch at Fig&Fennel and we love the food there. When deciding where to have my 30th birthday party a few people mentioned that Fig&Fennel do private events in the evening - wow wow wow! Lee was great! The food was absolutely fantastic - all my guests commented on the huge variety of food on the night and how delicious it all was. I would not hesitate on having another event with Lee and staff at Fig&Fennel and can't wait to go back for brunch soon! Thank you.”

“Gorgeous cafe. Fits right in with the Underbank development. The coffee is fab and the vegetarian breakfast (smashed avocado with poached eggs and halloumi) was amazing but it's the little touches that nailed it for me: 1. an umbrella stand and a coat stand, ideal when it's a soggy day outside (no dripping all over the cafe) and; 2. a steak knife to cut the sourdough toast. Much underrated. I spotted the cakes as I paid and went back later to sample. The Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake was incredible. Try the mushrooms on toast. Amazing.”

“Tiny local cafe, with quirky menu, run by mother & son team with the Best chai around. Pancakes with pretty much anything you want on them, some homemade tray bakes, and the usual breakfast fare. Plain surroundings and no frills, but cheap and friendly.”
