Best restaurant in Manchester

“Stayed here recently and it was a treat, from entering the staff were super helpful. The room was incredibly spacious and the shower area is not separated by a wall, so imagine you'd have to be close to the person you're staying with! For me, this wasn't an issue but maybe for some. The gym was great, small but decent kit and the sauna and steam room a total treat too! The breakfast has loads of choice and again, staff very friendly. I would LOVE to go back soon. There is a mini art gallery on the first floor too and it is in a great location, close to Deansgate Station, Oxford Road and so much more.”

“After staying here with my husband in the summer we returned last weekend to celebrate our anniversary. This hotel is really great, central location so easy walking distance to bars/restaurants/shops and just round the corner from Chinatown and the Gay Village. Both times the rooms have been lovely, we went for a bigger room the second time we visted as the standard rooms are a bit small (but very comfortable). The staff are always really friendly and helpful and the hotel even set the room up with a special complimentary anniversary treat for us. Breakfast and the bar are both nice too. Price is reasonable for a nice, central hotel and having stayed at a lot of different hotels in Manchester I'd recommend it as a fun place to stay. We will definitely be choosing to stay here again next time we're in the city!”

“Really loved staying here. The room itself was very nice, stylish, functional and comfortable. The bathroom was fantastic, the kitchenette has everything you need to prepare your own meals (not that I cooked), and the wifi was very reliable. I was booked here by work to stay here for 3 nights and I was able to easily book an extra night myself and the hotel staff were able to easily arrange for me to stay in the same room and not have to check out and in again. I will likely stay here next time I'm in Manchester. The only negative thing I would say is that the lifts are slow or there are not enough of them, because I always had to wait and there always seemed to be people waiting to use them.”

“Very well organised. Nice and clean. Disabled access was good. Bar drink code was adequate and refreshments were available. Excellent idea of being able to order drinks for the interim period so you could just pick them up. Toilets were superbly clean. Such a grand place to visit and experience.”

“Absolutely amazing meal tonight. Two T-bones, duck and a mix of starters for four and everything was spot on. After a really disappointing outing at the pretentious Ewe recently we went back to an old haunt for one of the kids birthdays and weren’t disappointed. Great service, great presentation and cooked perfectly. Nothing more to say other than this place and the Cherry tree are leading the way for me for a simple bloke from Howfen.”

“Excellent staff, beer and prices. Visited this at the weekend when Manchester was baking and City was playing their first home game of the season. So was a little worried about what the service would be like. I needn't have worried. Fast friendly service all day. We stopped just for one, but when we got seats and a table in the sun and had our first pint of Jimmy's Cider, one quickly turn into half a dozen! Even though the place was hammered before kick-off time the service was wonderful. I had just had a very bad experience at the Crown and Kettle and boy oh boy they could do with visiting here and seeing what customer service is all about. Will be back again. Thanks all for making our day!”

“Absolutely amazing cocktail bar. Staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, I even asked for a cocktail not on the list and they made it. I cannot recommend this bar enough. Plus really good music, and a fantastic live singer on the Sunday night. If you're in the area go to this bar.”

“Unfortunately I am now single after 60 years of marriage but booking for just me wasn't a problem . Unlike most Italian restaurants they offer a range of veal dishes which are excellent along with an very extensive menu of other dishes. They are always busy due to quality and value for money and you need to book.”

“Really had a perfect party thanks to the Blue Tiffin. Thanks for letting us use your function room. Everyone was at ease the moment we walked in, were really looked after, and were entertained from beginning to end. Nothing was too much. We had three course meals, and as a party of 50, I’m pleased to say that everyone’s culinary needs were deliciously met to perfection. We had some people with quite specific dietary needs; gluten free, and vegan to be specific. Nothing was too much and they loved it. Thank you again for going above and beyond, and making it a perfect evening to cherish and remember.”

“Alhamdulliah, I loved the food at this great establishment. The service was quick and speedy and the food was amazing to say the least. I ordered the t bone steak and also the chicken steak. These steaks were seasoned perfectly and had a generous amount of succulent fat in them. The sides which came along with the steak was mouth watering. Not just your low- quality cheap ingredients but something else which was more high quality. The lamb chops were grilled and they were super crispy to perfection. The mocktails were super tasty as well. Will look forward to eating at this restaurants in the future.”

Their Lobster meal was massive and tasted good, along with the african meal (Amala and Okra soup) I ordered. I would 100% recommend this place and they also do deliveries if you think of it.”

It does get busy, was recommend by a few friends to go and try this place and their fatayer, which was decent. “This place serves one of the best Chinese foods in Manchester, in my opinion. I compared their Singapore Rice with another outlet in Salford and there was a vast difference. You can preorder here or order when you walk in (your choice). It's located at Plymouth Grove, it's close to a bus stop and easy to find on the map.”

“I’ve recently moved to Cheadle and I’m trying to navigate its many options for a goody night out. Many from the area recommend Yara. Fortunately, it lived up to the hype. The evening was a happy occasion, with visiting family from Yorkshire, and the staff & food made it a wonderful evening. Just enough attention was given to us by the staff, who left us to enjoy our food. Which was all wonderful; the hummus dip starter might have been the best hummus I’ve ever had; creamy and rich and to die for. The option to bring your own booze was also a welcome addition, helping to lead to a very reasonable final bill.”
