“Considering how good the location is, and how cheap this place is, this is a must.the food was tasty and arrived withing minutes. The staff was very kind and welcomed me without having a reservation. Nice environment. Recommended Edit: I am reading other bad reviews and I think people are not fair at all. Prices here are absolutely low. If you expect magnificent Thai cuisine, go to an expensive restaurant. This place is great for what they charge you. I had a very lovely meal”

Everyone has an opinion on local takeaways, often varied but I can say factually that we have used Taj Balti for about 7 years and have been consistently happy with the quality, generosity of portions, friendly and helpful service, thoughtful touches. My partner is a fussy eater who will stick to what he likes and he rates their vegetable samber as among the best, also their raita, naan, lamb hoppers and chicken pakoras are particularly good. Plenty of interesting dishes to try from chef's special menu if you are a bit more adventurous than my partner. Better value than the other Indian / Bangladeshi takeaways in Glossop without compromising quality.”

“This beautiful restaurant on Portland Street offers excellent Indian food keeping its authenticity. Served by the fantastic Rana who is very knowledgeable if you are not sure of what to order. Food can be altered to your spice level. Environment is warn and friendly with a 5 star hygiene food rating. Definitely recommend this restaurant for it great ambience, food, cocktails, shisha and staff!”
