Originally opened in 1975, the arena underwent a major renovation in 1998 and is currently undergoing another extensive renovation in 2022 to include a fitness and wellness center, upgraded locker rooms, fan seating, and improved ice quality. The arena is not open for free skate as it is primarily used for organized hockey programs, including those of NYA, Yarmouth High School, and other local youth and adult hockey leagues.
