The farm on which it sits is said to be built on an old burial ground, with a dark history of a tragic accident that occurred among the crops. Many believe that the scarecrows on the farm are possessed by the souls of the past residents, serving as protectors of the land. The institution has been scaring and entertaining the community for 9 years, with a goal to continually improve and grow. In 2023, they will be making their debut in the haunt community, promising a thrilling experience for visitors. Despite the eerie reputation of the farm, IBH Productions welcomes brave souls to visit during the month of October. While donations are accepted, the experience is provided free of charge. Come visit if you dare, but beware of disturbing the scarecrows, as legend has it that those who do may face a terrifying fate.

Sponsored by Adopt-A-Trail partner Dr. David Kerr and Wyman's, this sanctuary is home to Jewell Falls, Portland's only natural waterfall, and the former Cumberland and Oxford Canal. The diverse habitats in this sanctuary provide excellent bird-watching opportunities where salt and freshwater marshes meet. Owned by a mix of private landowners, Portland Trails, and the city, the Fore River Sanctuary is a great example of collaboration to preserve green spaces. Trails are marked with different colors for easy navigation, and maps are available for reference. The land around Jewell Falls was donated by the family of Tom Jewell, one of Portland Trails' founders.
