"I was thinking about signing my son up here but after reading the reviews about this Leslie lady ( Thanks Trevor for your review) I’m going to look elsewhere until the establishment hire more passionate and understanding employees. If we pay for something we deserve respect and professionalism. God wants us to be kind to one another everyday."

"Do not go to this school. They are all about money & that’s it. The instructors don’t teach. They just sit there. We had to basically teach ourselves. So I came out all this money to teach myself. The instructors care nothing about the students. They had us practicing in a trailer that was not state regulated & they knew that and the lead instructor & the examiner knew that. So the classes before us tested in a trailer that wasn’t approved to test in. Then days before we went to test he switched the trailers when which was a longer trailer than the one before that I barely got time in. Then when it rained heavy on my rest day. The lead instructor told me that they usually cancel on days it rain this bad and they tested me in the rain when I couldn’t see nothing out my mirrors and barely had traction on my tires. Then on my examiner said that it was wrong and also said that we(160 students) so he knew it was wrong and everybody is saying the same pretrip because we learned it the same. Why wait till I test and say that it’s wrong instead of informing someone. So he is just passing people & failing people for more money. So I didn’t trust his judgement testing me again & requested a new instructor and they sent me to the same one and me and him didn’t get along too well because he was blaming me for what I had learned and I called him out because he was trying to call me slow. So they just took my money. I haven’t heard from them. Miss Leslie was good. It seem like she tried to help. But stay away from this school. Don’t be in a rush to get it and if you are im pretty sure its programs elsewhere because these people don’t take their job serious and are here for checks. & i wasted money and still didn’t get my cdl. They are manipulative people. That care nothing about the students."

"The lady in the office, Leslie should not have that position because she is VERY unprofessional. She has no respect for people that pay out of pocket and no sense of urgency to accommodate our needs that we PAID FOR. She called my personal phone to yell at me & cuss at me as if i was a child all because she forgot about our appointment for my initial payment so i paid over the phone to someone else. She was upset that someone else got credit for signing me up because i guess they get a percentage of the money paid for signing you up. She proceeded to hang up on me because i told her she was not about to talk to me as if i was her child. I didn’t get access to the 160drivingacademy app until 3 weeks into the course which was very inconvenient since i paid the full amount for the schooling at that point and everybody else had access. That wasn’t fair. The yard instructors are helpful. They give you helpful tips but at the end of the day it’s up the student to learn themselves. The students do a good job of sticking together and helping each other learn. But all in all, Ms Leslie really made my experience terrible and i hope that y’all actually read these reviews and act on them. I still got my license because i was determined to not waste the money that i paid."

"I considered this school, and actually got approved for the loan, but then saw LeDarryl's review above. So, I called their school manager, to ask her some questions to help me decide. When asked about (1) the student-to-instructor ratio, and (2) "160 hours" being mostly sitting around in the truck waiting for your turn to drive, Leslie unfortunately became angry and asked me if I'm done asking questions - without addressing my questions. Does Diesel Driving Academy have Leslie on their payroll? Because, in fairness, with the amount of potential students she is likely sending their way, they really should. Update: emailed my questions to the customer care email offered in the reply below (almost a week ago), and did not hear a peep back. It really seems like a low quality school. Diesel Driving Academy seems much better so far, in all aspects."

"The training for your permit was ok. The issue is there is only one yard lead that knew how to get you right. The rest of them sort of hurt me when it came to the skills exam. Then I can't retest more than 2x in their truck. I am out here with a permit and stuck in a standstill regarding with testing. For the price of training, I truly think I owe the school half. They didn't set me up with job leads. They ran my time to say I got 160 hrs of training because the majority of the time, you are sitting and waiting on a truck. The lead instructor on the yard was the only reputable instructor. The yard wasn't maintained. There were sections where you can't practice maneuvers because you will get stuck. The school didn't want to invest in the yard because it was going to cost 80k. The part of the yard we were able to use, I was getting stuck. I couldn't practice after it rained. The branch manager hasn't reached out to me or the regional manager as of options to help me get my CDL but I am stuck with a loan and I didn't pass. I feel like a number and I don't matter."
