"This place used to be great. I'd come here every time I got a check and blow every dollar I could. But they've been gradually changing policies and what merchandise they choose to stock. Not too long ago, I could come here and have a decent selection of top-tier brands. That has been increasingly getting supplanted by knockoffs and startups to the point where it's almost pointless to stop by if you're any sort of serious outdoors person (except for a few of their pet brands like Yeti, of course). Also, even though they claim to price match (which is something they've done for as long as I can remember), they basically explained to me that they only price match Bass Pro shops on the very limited number of identical items that they both carry. Which I guess is a safe bet for them, considering Bass Pro is about the only place in town more expensive than them. Getting kind of tired of going in there and finding them selling items for a higher price than you can get them for right off the manufacturer's own website (meaning their prices are blatantly higher than the MSRP and their version of price matching doesn't even cover that discrepancy). Also, they have adopted a very strange policy of not allowing photos in the store. When I want to do some more research at home comparing a few different offerings at a retailer, I usually snap a quick pic of the items that I'm trying to decide between so that I know I'm looking up the right thing. I then come back and get the one that I want. I've been to 45 States and never had a store take issue with that. No idea why they feel the need to enforce such a bizarre rule. I guess, moving forward, I'll probably still drop in for the occasional pair of gym shorts and such, but it's no longer the place that I was excited to frequently spend money at like it used to be."

"Adam in the gun department went out of his way to help us find the right weapon for my wife. His knowledge and professionalism made it a very easy process, he helped her with the paperwork and and took extra time to explain everything to her. His customer service skills should be rated at a 10+ Academy on Bert Kouns will get my business again and I will ask for Adam .."

"They lost a sale. I called ahead to make sure they had what I wanted in a pistol, and they did. Showed up the gentleman was helping someone else, that's fine. He acknowledged that he would get to me next, because I was next in line. He finished up and 2 other people standing there after me were helped, I walked out."

"No one knew where anything was in their store, but they didn't hesitate to point us in any random direction to get rid of us. Every register (only 4 open) was tied up with hunting permits, but only one person was capable of doing them. After a 12 minute wait, we got to a register, and the computer system went down on that register. They moved us to another register. Then, after only a 10 minute wait for the cashier to issue another hunting permit, we are finally checked out and left the store. I should mention that the person who appeared to be the manager just stood there watching it all happen from about 20 feet away, but never moved to help."
