Children's Hospital New Orleans LCMC Health

"My concern at this hospital emergency visit was unnecessary long, they where only 6-8 kids in the waiting area. Not sure what was going on but we all set in the waiting area for almost an hour or two before we where seen by a nurse. In about a hour in a half we where called to the back, I gust we where waiting to see a doctor we waited another two hour or more before we where seen a doctor. I can tell you that this hospital has change a lot all the new changes to this hospital looks good but the staff nurses and doctors in the emergency was just setting around talking and laughing in there area for a long time. I can say we where not the only ones that was complaining about the service and waiting time in the emergency room."

"Shop around when you need to do a non-emergency test. The pediatrician ordered a pulmonary function test for my child. I was billed $1357 for this test, and the balance after insurance adjustment was still $743. This is way higher than if the test was done somewhere else in town, with the same medical insurance. When I called LCMC customer service to question why there was no pre-estimate provided given that the cost is significant, the answer they gave me was "The doctor should give you an estimate. Sorry yours didn't." And it ends there. BTW, our Pediatrician is in LCMC and works at the same location."

"Dec 29th my 18 yr old son had to have oral surgery to get 6 wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Brett King did his surgery and I have thenupst respect for him and his staff. Everyone on deck was so professional, caring,loving and the list goes on. I would recommend his work to anyone. Will return here anytime. ❤❤❤. Thank you all for the spectacular work. "I'm an "adult" patient of Dr. Ellis. He's SOO sweet and, a very good doctor. I have to say. He has a talent for, being able to talk to patient and parent, at the same time. He's what I mean!! I had an appointment with him 1 day. When I was around, 19 trying to get my drivers license!! He was explaining something to my mom. He stopped right in the middle and told "me" something. I don't remember exactly what though!!"

"Childrens Hospital was amazing. We had just arrived at the New Orleans port from our Disney Cruise. Before we got off the ship, my son began complaining of stomach pain and vomiting. We were able to get off early due to concierge services, thank God for that. Once we got home, my son kept vomiting and the pain got worse. We went to urgent care, they referred us to Childrens.. we checked and we’re immediately called to the back. Ultrasound was done and lab work which revealed appendicitis.. surgeons came to the bedside and told me that he had to have surgery… from the beginning to the end, the staff was amazing.. I was there with my 11 year old and my ill son until my husband came and they treated us so well.. we met the anesthesiologist, the nurses what would be in surgery..the surgery was a success.. we spoke to the MD afterwards.. the whole experience reassured us that our son was in good hands.. we are forever thankful and grateful that God blessed us to be cared for by those healthcare professionals.
