The institution is always looking for volunteers to help with inventory, greeting customers, and other shop needs. Your support will enable SisterHearts to continue empowering participants and operations.
SisterHearts is one of the first and only decarceration and jail reentry programs in St. Bernard Parish, using the concept of a thrift store to reverse the effects of incarceration and prison trauma. Serving residents in Chalmette and surrounding areas of New Orleans, SisterHearts takes a unique perspective on decarceration focusing on mental and emotional trauma.

"Staff very courteous. Prices too HIGH!!! When you walk in a ""THRIFT STORE"" and leave with nothing...too high! Over crowded; not moving enough products. I found a couple items that were $2 cheaper than a brand new item. Items should be at Half or 60% for USED items. It's obvious they know nothing about pricing used items."
