Barksdale Main Exchange

"This place is convenient since it’s where I work and customer service is usually okay. However, this week while checking out some lady walks up to me (at self check out because there’s usually not a register open) and yells “I need to see your military ID!”. It was no problem for me to show it but I had a guest with me and let her know I was sponsoring him. When I presented it and asked why she needed to see them she went on a long spiel about who could shop there and etc. We said thank you for the information, I checked us out, we told her to have a great day and left. After the initial interaction she glared at us with this ugly and mean look the rest of the time we were in the store. I’m not sure if she knows how people get onto the base or not but it felt like she was saying we looked like we didn’t belong there. This was a VERY uncomfortable experience and I’m not sure if I feel safe going back. Especially if someone is going to be policing me and asking for my “papers”. Also, I’ve shopped at this location for months consistently and this is the first time that anyone has ever treated me this way. I hope she finds happiness."

"When I am in a hurry I can run in here and get what I need... Even when I need to do deep shopping they have a great variety..."
