The Willows Apartments Shreveport

"The people who work at this office are incompetent at best. Especially the manager, Kathy. They lied to us and said that they would hold an apartment for us as long as we paid our application fee and deposit immediately. So we did, paid the $100 application fee and $400 deposit. We put the date wanted to move in on the application— it was about a month and a half out from the date of the application. Then they said we had to start paying for the apartment right then even though we were told it could be held until the next month. We would have never filled out the application Had we known we are going to have to start paying right away. Why in the world would we pay the deposit and application fee if we didn’t think we would get what we wanted?? All we asked for was our deposit and application fee back. They said they would take care of it, but nothing happened. We finally had to go to corporate just to get the deposit back. Corporate said they had never even heard from the willows about refunding that. So the willows office never submitted the deposit refund to begin with. Some places take your money, and they just hope you forget about it. In the end, they are saying they won’t refund the $100 application fee, even though they were messed up on their dates. At this point, I’d be willing to just accept a simple admittance of a mistake that THEY made."

I was impressed with how carefully The Willows screens their applicants to make sure the experience of living here is safe and enjoyable for everyone. She was professional, but it’s obvious they really care. It’s peaceful and there are gorgeous sites throughout the property for walking, running, or relaxing. I love it here!"

"We really enjoyed living at The Willows. The apartments have character and are well taken care of. All service requests were taken care of in a quick and professional manner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. By far our favorite thing about living here was the walking trail through the grounds. It is a hidden gem in Shreveport and overall a great place to live!"

"I've lived at the Willows for one year and my experience has been mostly positive. There are frequent community events and the management/maintenance team is responsive. Parking is good but the Willows residents have to park under trees so expect bird poop on your car. Also there have been some car break-ins in the area. The gyms are well kept and there's enough equipment there for people that have standard workout routines although I wish they had an elliptical for use. I've went for runs along the sidewalks during the day and I've never had a problem. The only issues I've had are dealing with pests. My apartment is located near the small river and I've had an ant infestation as well as a gnat infestation during the warmer months. I was able to get it under control but it's still frustrating to deal with. I chose this complex because of the price and proximity to Barksdale and I'll continue to stay here as long as I'm stationed in the area. It sucks that the rent is going up but it's still the best location for the money."

"Very friendly staff, the views from either your balcony or by the pond it's self are beautiful. It's very quiet here to be so close to the main roads, super close to base, and the activities that they have here are great!"
