“A wonderful outdoor Olympic (50m) size lido in south-east London. Extremely clean and heated year round making winter swimming possible, even without a wetsuit. Inside and outdoor changing facilities. Friendly staff and a nice mix of local leisure bathers and a friendly swimming community make for a very nice relaxed atmosphere. Some swimming and triathlon clubs train here too. There's a full Better gym on-site (which can be used for an extra fee) and something quite unique, an outdoor spin studio overlooking the pools. Some of the spin instructors are very entertaining as they motivate their classes :). You will definitely leave feeling refreshed and happier than when you arrived.”

“This centre is a real gem, hidden off Slade Green Road. (Chrome Road which is a brand new road), leading to the Slade Green & Howbury Community Centre and Library is opposite the Slade Green Christian Fellowship Church, next to Elm Road. Once you have found Chrome Road which is a narrow road leading to the centre you will see a sign for the Slade Green & Howbury Community Centre, under that Haberdashers' Aske's Crayford Academy the primary phase. This is next door to Slade Green Primary School. This brand new building has amazing facilities for community users and for hire, great library with new books for all, very good interior design, with a reading den for children. Huge wall mounted pictures of the surrounding area add a real touch of class in this light and airy place. On site is also the Crimson Cafe which serves Barista Coffee, latte, cappuccinos and more. With warm food and snacks. Good service.”

“Great place to stay. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and in an ideal location opposite tube. Shops over the road. Parking on site. We parked our car on arrival and used the tube daily. Ate in the restaurant the first night and had breakfast. Good selection available.”

I have had mobility problems for 4 years and use the changing room for the disabled. They care for me as necessary. It is a very clean and well kept spa. Congratulations!”

“The staff are really friendly, and the place is really clean. I don't get why some people complain that it's not spotless 24/7, but keep in mind that not all members there have common sense to clean up after themselves, then times that by loads of other members that do the same, and the cleaners won't be able to keep up obviously. If the members were more respectful and not acting like children, then yes, the place would be always be spotless. Their website is a bit outdated and needs a big update, but that's not to blame on the staff behind the desk, probability to do with the council... So far this is the best gym I've been to, even if they have less equipments than places like Pure Gym or The Gym, it's way less crowded than there and the machines are quality too.”

“I usually go to an Osteopath Clinic and pay £40 for 30 minutes of treatment on my knots and tension around my neck and shoulders. When I heard the salon was opening again I booked in for a deep tissue massage but actually didn't think it would be as deep/localised as I get at my Osteo. I was absolutely amazed. Laura did an incredible job. I walked in with virtually no movement in the left side of my neck and left with almost full range of movement. It was just as good, if not better because of the full salon experience and how relaxed Laura makes you feel. It was also a longer massage for a more reasonable price too. “I have been coming to this salon for nine years because they are the best. The stylists are excellent. Gian Luigi has looked after me, my husband and now my daughter and we all feel the utmost confidence as soon as we take a seat in his chair. His colouring is subtle and expert, his styling and cuts are stunning and demonstrate confidence and flair. He works so hard but is always so amicable and good natured. Frankly, we as a family wouldn't know what we'd do without him! I started coming to the salon some years ago with very dark hair and have now transitioned to silver. Gian has given the best care to my hair at both stages and has always given me a million dollar cut. I can't recommend him highly enough. The rest of the team are also wonderful and the salon has a wonderfully collegiate and calm atmosphere. They have also taken Covid in their stride and exercise great caution while making you feel welcome.”
