“As a Palestinian, I was very happy to see a place like Akub open in London. This quaint & cozy space serves innovative twists on traditional Palestinian cooking. Dishes like the Short Rib Fatteh, Bukjet Mousakhan & Shish Barak with Beetroot are delicious & pleasantly light. The dessert, especially the dead sea salt chocolate cake, is out of this world! Akub also serves Palestinian arak, wine & beer, so you get to enjoy a Taybeh or 2 with your meal ;) The decor is on point too - tasteful cultural symbols minus the clichés (no flags or rifles, though of course the spirit is that of Free Palestine).”

“We chose this lovely restaurant to host my mother surprise 70th private Birthday party. Ardien, the manager, was so incredibly helpful and accommodating in the lead up to the big day. We sat down together with him and his talented chef Matteo to create a memorable menu and seating arrangement for the 30-40 people in attendance. Ardien’s and Matteo’s knowledge, experience and attention to detail really shone through. Nothing was too much trouble and they were determined that my mum got the 70th birthday party she deserved and even recommended a singer for the occasion which we were searching for and therefore opted for. The big day came and my mum and the guests had a fantastic time from start to finish. The entire day was memorable which is testament to Ardien, Matteo and the staff. We are an Italian family so are well versed in eating Italian food all our lives and so too were many of the guests. Every food course was delicious and the service; sublime. It’s safe to say that Punto completely lives up to being an authentic Italian restaurant where so many other restaurants fall short. The singer was also fantastic on that day with guests up singing and dancing. The entire day will certainly live long in the memory of my mum and everyone that attended. THANK YOU Punto’s!”

I can not tell you how amazing the food and service was especially as we hadn't booked. What was lovely that although we were told the table will need to be back within an hour and half we weren't made to feel rushed. If anything they service was like can I get you another white wine mum.Will definitely be bringing all the family back here. Impeccable service especially with two little ones. “It's a good shop although when I tried to charge up my gas card they told me that this service is no longer available, because Paypoint are dictating to the shop owner that each day he has to go to the Bank & pay the money in, Paypoint will not let them pay the money in each week. I then said what about bank transfer, he replied, then they charge you. He also said people look online in relation to where they can charge up there Gas/electric meter & because Paypoint won't remove them from website they end up traveling from where ever for nothing, fortunately there is a shop a couple of doors along where you can do the above, although he said they do not stay open as long. I experience similar problems with PayPal, eBay,. etc. Everything is a headache nowadays, the internet is a curse.”
