Baan Thai
“HOME DELIVERY CONSISTENCY They have free delivery for over £15. They've started a loyalty stamp system - like cafe Nero and others. If you collect enough stamps you get £25 !!!! Off next order. This is not an incentive for me because their food is so damned good anyway. I have started asking staff for reccomendations. You know - like asking a wine expert on what's best to go with what. They don't just say the special or the most expensive item. You chat with them (they're very friendly people) and you say the sorts of things you like or have had before and they will come up with some suggestions. Today's hot fresh home delivery included; Tom Ka soup. If you like tom yum but find it maybe just a touch too spicy - try Tom Ka. It's sort of milder and got coconut milk. Marvelous. Bangkok chicken. In a sort of batter. But, not the Chinese takeaway or fish n chip shop batter. It's sort of thinner and just seals in the juices and taste of the chicken. In a sauce with veggies and Zing, tang, flavour. But,at the same time not overpowering and leaving you feel well fed but not stuffed. These are the consistent results I always get from Baan Thai cuisine. And, if you think about it...... consistently reaching or exceeding your expectations is why you go back again and again. 2 years ago in summer I wrote - Thai salads Perfect for hot summer weather when you just want a light, well priced salad with that wonderful Thai zing. Maybe with a lemon tea. Perhaps share a kampung nasi goreng. I have had nasi goreng many times in Bali and Baan Thai's is equal in flavour. Slightly different in layout (Baan Thai doesn't serve Ayam pieces on the side) but then, Balinese Indonesian is different from Java Indonesian etc. .......prior reviews This is Thai and Malay food. So, all the idiots ordering or asking for HK, Guandong, or Szechuan dishes need to re-read the sign. I started with Tom Ka (Tom Yum with coconut milk). Very flavoursome. Kafir lime as well as lemongrass, very tasty white chicken meat, quartered button mushrooms cooked just long enough to absorb the flavours. Fish sauce (of course). Some people don't like the smell of fish sauce. I agree it can take a little getting used to. But, I promise you - this Tom ka with the fresh basil on top was well worth it. I followed with a green papaya salad:- mmmm that sweet, sour, hot, crunchy combination is just wonderful. Perfect for a warm day. Shredded carrot, Julienne papaya, bean sprouts, halved cherry tomatoes, fresh, crunchy roasted peanuts, green beans, some red chilli lettuce..... And the sauce!! Hot, tangy, juices, palm sugar all twirled together and demanding to be eaten. I paid just over £11 for those two items total. Not too busy at 2pm.... Couriers coming and going and a few seated customers. A really yummy lunch. Subsequent visit(s) I tried the nasi goreng. Strictly speaking this is an Indonesian dish. But, the Malaysian and Indonesian people originate from the same stock so it,a not surprising that some dishes (particularly rice dishes) are identical. Though, for me, the influence in Malaysia of Indian, Chinese and Thai cuisine has produced far more delicious variety. The Thai iced tea (without milk) is very fragrant and not too sweet. I am going to have to return many times, because everything I have tried so far is wonderful and delicious. Charming, courteous, pleasant staff (as one always finds with both Thai and Malay people). Six stars.”
Blue Moon Thai Cafe
“Our goto Thai restaurant in London. We've dined-in and ordered from blue moon several times and it knocks it out of the park 99 times out of 100 Soul food, great taste and portions. Pad Thai and Panang curry are our absolute favourites, and can never get bored of the flavor. The host is amazing, very tuned in and 5 ⭐ always.”
Patara Fine Thai Cuisine Soho
“Everything was so tasty the cocktails here are really well done and we did not have a single dish that was not excellent. The lamb shank and the lobster-tail Pad Thai were some of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Staff were also super kind and even let us move to a nicer table that opened up. Amazing service and amazing food.”
Mudmee Thai Restaurant
“2 course meal with bottle of wine cost less than £50 per head. They have Thai wine which is good taste. Huge volume, great taste and good service. Won't let you disappointed.”
Thai Restaurant YumYum
“Had a lovely meal at Yum Yum last weekend. Booking online was very easy. There is a bar area before you go through to the restaurant, the member of staff took our drinks order as we waited for friends to arrive. We finally got to our table 45 minutes after the initial time of booking but they were very relaxed about it. We began with the yum yum platter which consisted of spring rolls, chicken wings, satay chicken and fish cakes. I ordered the lamb mussaman curry as my main which came on the bone which was fine. They also do beef and chicken mussaman curries. The menu is a bit overwhelming with so many choices of starters, soups and mains. They also do various desserts and I tried the coconut ice cream which came with my friends order which was surprisingly good. Overall had a fabulous meal with friends and a brilliant evening. Expect to pay around £20-25 for 2 courses, drinks are extra. I can happily recommend YumYum in Stokey and would definitely go back there.”
The Robin Hood Thai Restaurant
“Nice pub Thai food near Epping forest. Really liked the Tom yum soup and red curry.”
Thai Rack
“Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had! Fantastic service and attention to detail like serving us hot plates to keep our food warm once it arrived. Everything tasted fresh, the produce was good quality and cooked well - not over or undercooked. The flavours were delightful, and the portion sizes and pricing was decent too. We don’t live in the area, we were just passing through whilst staying at The Crazy Bear in Beaconsfield but if I was ever in or near the area again, I would definitely eat here again! By far the best restaurant in the area and surrounding villages. Thank you! See you again soon.”
Sir & Madam Thai Woking
“First time we ordered and couldn’t have been more happier. Delicious fresh food! Will definitely be ordering again.”
Mantanah Thai Cuisine, South Norwood
“I eat in, or order takeaway, from this lovely restaurant all the time. It's an absolute gem! I don't know what the negative reviews are talking about - I've been to Thailand and eaten Thai food for years, and always enjoy the food here. The staff are so friendly and kind - they always go out of their way to accommodate my dietary requirements (I'm coeliac). The food is reasonably priced and delivery is always pretty quick. Highly recommend it.”

“Lovely little spot just off newington green - reasonable priced and good quality wholesome food family run place - it's byob (there is a £2 fee per person who is byob) curry's not too spicy which was good”
Rosa's Thai Angel
“Each dish was a delight and cooked to perfection at this relaxed, causal style Thai eatery The food was well prepared and accompanied by a zingy, home made refreshing lemonade Finding little touches like this and the home made sweet chilli sauce are the little details which make the big impact Said sauce was slightly sweet but well balanced with sour, bitter and salty flavours too unlike the standard bottled gloop which tends to be overly sugary The corn cakes were crispy and not saturated with oil Bringing both the chunky and smooth textures together Penang Curry was superb and delightfully spiced Pumpkin crackers are in need of a mention here as previously an undiscovered dish If you like Thai food and value quality and flavour Give this place a try!”
Bills Thai & Caribbean. Taste Of Jamaica
“You will have to wait a while as its a 1 man show with uncle bill, but the flavours and taste are proper home cook style. To many carribean places try to get away with some sub standard rubbish but uncle bill always top quality authentic flavours. Best oxtail and rice and peas around”
Sanuk Thai Restaurant
“The food tasted very good, just as we wanted! The service and entertainment was very friendly! The whole environment felt the atmosphere of the house all the time! Sanuk is the best for those who want to spend some time in silence! Staff will get 10 on 10 from me! I am very happy, came twice, hope to come again!!”
Thai Palace Restaurant - Authentic Thai Cuisine
“Fantastic meal out with friends. Haven't been here for a couple of years but I'm glad we went again . The restaurant isn't massive and tables are quite close together but the food is worth it . Chicken satay as a starter was the best I've had and the chicken pad Thai was perfect . Very good value too .”
Thai Restaurant Tiger Lily
“I went to Tiger Lily for a working lunch we ate in the restuarant. The staff were phenomenal, the food is fantastic, well presented, well served and delivered. Caters for all diets. Probably one of the best places in Osterly a very relaxing atmosphere and good menu/selection of food. See photos. Great experiance. Would recommend.”
Thai Elephant Restaurant and Dim Sum (Da Hong Pao)
“Outstanding service and exquisite tasting dim sums!!! The Thai Elephant management should be proud of the staff, as Chinese/Thai restaurants are notorious for an impersonal robotic service, however your staff are amiable, attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable (while not being overbearing), and maintaining a professional distance. Looking forward to our next visit!”
Thai street
“Food was really nice. Staff are lovely and polite. Turn up with out a reservation, they managed to squeeze us in. Well worth a visit. Thank You.”
Cattleya Thai Restaurant
“Lovely neighbourhood restaurant! Definitely recommend. The food was lovely, we had a ginger & beef dish with rice, was excellent. Also tried the minty beef with rice, super dish (I've had many of these in other restaurants and can vouch this one is worth it!). Our server was friendly! The restaurant wasn't busy when we visited, was a lovely casual hour, and our server made us some awesome margarita's!”
Royal Siam Thai Restaurant
“I had a wonderful experience here. Beautiful food, fresh and all served the same time. My 1 year old enjoyed trying the good which was such a result. Thank you to our waiter Sadek and the rest of the staff for looking after us! Highly recommend”
Thai Square Windsor
“Very cosy little restaurant by the castle, we really enjoyed the food. We ordered from the silver set menu, my friend chose 3 course which comes with the soup and I chose two course and we had more than enough food. All items were delicious & felt freshly made. They serve halal chicken so we asked to replace any other meat with chicken. Staff was very helpful & pleasant.”

“Wow. I came in here to have a quick solo lunch and am blown away. Haven’t even left yet and had to review. Best Thai green curry I’ve ever had, beautiful atmosphere, and really lovely staff. Will absolutely be back and bringing people along!”

“Lovely food. Attended twice in two days. Really authentic food, with traditional flavours and mixed variety of dishes. Sadly the 'hot' dish isn't very spicy but the flavours are mixed and varied. Food was served piping hot and very quick”
