“DO NOT HESITATE… EAT HERE! My husband is Algerian and has raved about this restaurant for years since he lived in London. After 5 years (& a pandemic) we made our way to London from California and he made sure we checked out Azou. The food here is incredible, the ambiance is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. My recommendations: Start with the sardines, brik, bourek, and the bastilla (the combination of the meat and the sweetness of the cinnamon is such a wonderful taste) Entree: Tajine zitoune (I love olives) and couscous royale (merguez, the lamb sausages are my absolute fav)”

“Really amazing bbq!!! myself and my partner had a well generous portion of the bbq platter (medium size) a long with Kimchee Pancake and pork dumplings. Overall, service was great, very attentive. Nice atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back again :)”

“In times like these it's a blessing to have a place like Thai #1 so close to us. It's important to remember that all their food is prepared fresh, so the meat always tastes good, the vegetables crisp, and the sauces have that just out of the kitchen freshness that you just don't get in similar places. Best place for Thai food outside of Bangkok itself!”

“Amazing authentic Somali food. No printed menu - choice of big meat, small meat, chicken, vegetarian, with rice, chapati or pasta. We had small meat with rice and small meat with chapati. Both came with side salad and were delicious. Entire meal was less than £10 a head including drinks.”

“Recently refurbished and looks great! Shisha is very good and smokes for a while. Variety of flavours. Staff are extremely friendly & even remembered us from years ago! Great service. Karak tea is top notch and they put a candle underneath to keep it warm. Small heaters available on those very cold nights which is always a plus!! Great vibe & insta pic ready!!”

“We had a really lovely afternoon tea at the Palm Court. The Christmas decorations made it even more special. We enjoyed the egg brioche, finger sandwiches, sweet bites and scones with jam and clotted cream all served with an extended selection of specialty teas. Loved the ambience!”

“Visited this new Gem on a Sunday evening and we live in Kentish town, I had the chicken in mushroom and cream sauce and my partner had the pasta bolognese i have to be honest they both tasted amazingly fresh. I don't get the bad reviews written :S this is a new restaurant and Kentish town needs a family run Italian restaurant lets support them, instead of bad reviews give them examples of what you would expect to see from them, just like we did and got a limoncello shot on the house. Many thanks for the evening guys.”

“Because we wanted something Greek, so we tried this place. Luckily, it was near our flat. For the starter, we chose the hot and cold starter (I don't remember exactly the name). My boyfriend and I thought it was our full meal but then the waiter said it was just the starter and we were already full! When our main meals arrived, we still ate it because you can't resist! The resto is always full. People enjoy going here. It's a lovely place. The staff were lovely as well.”

“I have dined here several times and each time they never fail to amaze me. I introduced my Spanish friend to Somali food yesterday and she loved it. She has an open mind and excited to try foods from different cultures and loved her experience. I over-ate as usual lol because the food is absolutely delicious especially the green chilli sauce which I love, hot but tasty. Huge man size portions and very reasonably priced especially as I tend to order lamb. Thank you for your amazing food and wonderful service.”

“The picture of the wine wall was as far as I got because from when they took our drinks order whilst waiting for our table through to finishing our last sip of wine we were lost in the evening. It was a lovely summer evening and we were able to sit outside. The staff were lovely (busy, very busy) but attentive, pleasant and helpful with any questions we had on the menu. The food was absolutely delicious, and we are happy to have found this little gem so close to our hotel. 3 courses, a bottle of wine and a short potter back. Will definitely return next time we're down.”

“A serene quiet atmosphere, calm. Food was delicious, loved the spices. The meat used in the steamed buns, samsa and soup have a very similar great taste, just know that if you want variet. The top two dishes were the Pilaf and Soup. Closely followed by Samsa. Pilaf had great texture, rice was interestingly sweet and meat melted Soup with meat dumplings had an aromatic smell, it was light but filling All the food had a homey flavor like your grandmother made it. Would definitely visit again.”

“Had a fabulous experience here! We got the pre theatre menu which I’d thoroughly recommend. Particular highlights were the aged cheddar empanada and the vegan pasta dish, but everything we had was delicious. Quite a few vegetarian options, and generous portion sizes. Also loved the vermouth blend. Staff really went above and beyond, which we were all super grateful for - will definitely be back!!”
